Instead, Mxey's own gunfire masked the footsteps, so he failed to notice Jiang Siming emerging from the right.
Bang!
Now that Jiang Siming had a chance to aim, the shot naturally hit without suspense, striking the center of the back of Mxey's head.

The damage floated up again, and Mxey turned into a death crate.
"This is impossible! This is impossible! I clearly heard him coming from the left!"
Mxey stared at the computer screen, unable to believe his ears.
He immediately called the referee over.
"Referee, I demand a pause in the match! There's a bug!"
The referee walked over impatiently and muttered:
"Is it the black-screen bug again? Come on, you die every round. How could your screen not go black?"
"No! There's something wrong with my earphones! They're transmitting the footsteps from the wrong direction!"
Mxey was furious and immediately explained.
The referee spread his hands. "Are you sure there's something wrong with your earphones?"
"Yes!"
"Then I'm sorry, but all the equipment is brought by the players themselves. If your equipment breaks, you can't blame anyone else."
"I..."
Mxey's lips trembled. He had nowhere to vent his anger, yet he couldn't refute the referee.
He could only slam his keyboard down and get up to leave.
"Please return to your seat. You can't leave until the match is over."
The referee pushed him back into his seat. Mxey's mood could easily be imagined; he was so furious he nearly felt like he'd been cursed to death by a dog.
He glanced at Jiang Siming's computer beside him, and a bold idea kept surfacing in his mind.
On Jiang Siming's side, he happily collected Mxey's AKM and a fragment that had dropped.
