"Run!"
Mo Qiong shoved Shelley and the firefighters aside. The firefighters saw it too, and after dragging the driver out, they had only taken a few steps when the sports car suddenly burst into flames with a bang.
A second later, the sports car exploded with a roar, and the flames instantly engulfed Mo Qiong.
"Mo Qiong!" Shelley cried out as a firefighter pressed her to the ground.
The firefighters were fully suited up. Although the blast knocked them flat, they quickly climbed back to their feet. It had only been a small explosion.
But Mo Qiong, who had been wearing no protective gear at all, might not have gotten off so easily.
The firefighters hurried over with extinguishers to put out the flames, only to see Mo Qiong pat the dust off himself and climb up from the ground.
Smoke poured from his head when he looked up, making him seem as if he had merely been hit in the face by a firework.
Behind him, a twisted hood was embedded in the bricks. It seemed to have been flung out by the explosion, slicing past Mo Qiong after narrowly missing him.
"I really can't tell whether you're unlucky or lucky..." the firefighter exclaimed.
After working for so many years, he had never seen such an unlucky person suffer one disaster after another: fire, flooding, a car accident, a collapse, an explosion, and a flying object striking him...
Yet the lucky part was that he was fine after all. It had been a close call, but no one had been hurt.
Mo Qiong gave a bitter smile as he rubbed the dust from his face, then patted down his smoking hair.
