I had no chapters banked and then happened to catch a cold. I fought with everything I had but still couldn't beat it. I'm doomed.
I just had the flu at the beginning of December. I had three or four chapters banked then, and the novel itself wasn't at a high point in the story, so the updates weren't affected.
I used up all my stockpiled chapters while writing the tense parts of the game earlier. These two battle chapters are also difficult to write, and my head hurts so much that I really can't get them down.
There's one that's 2,400 words.
To be honest, I'm not satisfied with it and plan to rewrite it from scratch, so don't wait for it.
Over the past four days, my head has hurt badly on three of them, and I haven't been able to write much. I felt better the day before yesterday and wrote two chapters, but when I looked them over yesterday, I wasn't satisfied and decided to rewrite them.
I'm not sure which days my head will hurt while this cold hasn't cleared up, so I won't ask for leave separately. If you check at four in the morning and see that there's no update, it means I wasn't feeling well and couldn't write it, so it'll have to wait until the next day.
(There aren't many chapters left in this volume. I want to finish it normally and still get perfect attendance pay, so catching a cold right now without any chapters banked is pretty helpless. Sorry!)
