Rest for 10 days. Updates will resume punctually at 4:00 a.m. on February 11.

If there was anything in this volume you didn't understand, feel free to complain about it in this bullet comment. I'll reply whenever I see it.

One more thing.

The Mexican girl already had ties to the main island; her younger brother was on the main island.

Her talent was incredibly powerful. After Death Game made her a reserve candidate for island master, she was left to develop on her own. But after discovering that the Black Dragon might be taken down, Death Game abandoned her as a sacrifice. (I forgot to write this in the main story, so I'm adding this bit of background.)

For the next volume, I'm planning to skip the game. Let me explain why.

The next game was supposed to feature a player of an extremely high level. It was originally planned as a Lovecraftian rules-and-mysteries game, but there were several reasons for skipping it.

①. Volume 17 had two consecutive games. That was basically enough material for two volumes, and writing it nearly wore me out. I really was completely drained, and I no longer had any good ideas for Death Game.

②. The next game existed solely to fight one person.

To fight one person, I would have had to create a whole bunch of supporting characters. The game itself would still have been a one-sided battle with Yimo, and the viewpoint would have been focused almost entirely on the supporting characters, with barely any of Yimo's perspective.

One game would have taken at least 200,000 words, possibly even 300,000. After thinking it over, I decided not to write it. I hope you can understand!

That's why Volume 18 won't have much content.

I'll normally move the real-world plot
