In the afternoon, sunlight spilled across the school field, bathing everything in golden radiance.
In the past, only a handful of students had PE classes here. Now, the field buzzed with voices, cheers, applause, and shouts blending into one roar.
Three long inflatable dragons charged straight toward the finish line.
Zhao Jinyang of Class 7 looked as if he were riding a flying dragon. This was his third event, and his results had improved every time.
He gripped the dragon with both hands and put forth tremendous strength with his legs. His face twisted fiercely as he roared, "Left!"
Then he stepped forward with his left leg.
"Right!" he shouted again.
At the same time, the burly guys of Class 7 responded at once, roaring in unison, "Right!!!"
Then all ten boys stepped out with their right feet together! "Left, right, left!" The boys of Class 7 chanted as they moved their legs in rhythm.
This game tested coordination, and the Class 7 students had pushed theirs to the absolute limit. Their movements were perfectly synchronized, and under their control, the cute inflatable dragon suddenly sped up.
In an instant, it left the dragons from the other classes five or six meters behind, taking the clear lead across the field.
Wang Longlong panicked. "This is bad, Ma Ge! Our Class 8 has been overtaken!"
Duan Shigang said, "It's over, it's over!"
Zhang Chi watched coldly from the side and remarked sarcastically, "If I'd known, I might as well have gone on."
Yu Wen, standing nearby, looked at him with obvious displeasure and retorted, "Didn't you already compete? The class monitor should be the one going on."
Zhang Chi snorted. He could not be bothered arguing with a woman; it would only lower his standards.
Guo Kunnan shook his head regretfully.
