The setting sun streamed through the windows, spilling into every corner of the classroom. The blackboard, desks, walls, even the air itself seemed suffused with a golden glow.

"No," Jiang Ning said.
She should have fallen silent after being refused, but Tongtong said instead, "But I want to buy you some. You've definitely never had it before!"

"Fine." Jiang Ning stood up and stretched, then headed toward the corridor outside. The moment Xue Yuantong saw him, she hurried after him.
School was not out yet, and the gates were locked. Without her there, Jiang Ning might not have been able to leave campus.
