"Cold?"
Jiang Ning sensed the temperature around him. With a body tempered by the Thunder Spell, he would not feel cold even walking through the freezing North or South Pole.
"Not cold," Jiang Ning replied.
If he did not dislike drawing strange looks, he could still wear nothing but a long-sleeved shirt in winter weather several degrees below zero.
By comparison, Geng Lu was wrapped up tightly. She wore a white hoodie under a fleece-lined jacket, with light pink corduroy pants on her legs. Her whole outfit looked fluffy, making people want to give it a rub.
"When we walk together, we look like people from two different seasons," Geng Lu said with a faint smile.
Jiang Ning glanced at her. "It's good that you wear more. Keeps you warm."
Geng Lu lowered her head. She usually chose loose-fitting clothes to conceal her figure, so other girls would not laugh at her.
Without betraying a hint of it, Jiang Ning followed her gaze downward. Geng Lu's outfit today was adorable, though fluffy fabrics did tend to collect dust.
He activated his Spiritual Energy and flicked a finger. It silently washed over her clothes, tracing enticing curves along the way and clearing away the stubborn dust.
Geng Lu breathed into her hands and looked toward the crowd ahead. She noticed that the girls wore more clothing, while the boys generally wore much less. "Are girls more afraid of the cold?"
Jiang Ning walked slowly. Hearing that, he found it a little amusing. As a girl herself, did Geng Lu not have more authority on the subject?
He did not refute her as he might have before. He was no longer that ignorant boy from back then. This sort of pointless small talk only showed that she wanted to chat with him.
