The Lantern Festival had passed. The Agritainment's bonfire had already turned into scattered ruins, its residual warmth fading away, leaving only curling wisps of smoke and ashes, as if recounting yesterday's lingering splendor.
Yuzhou's winter was bitterly cold. The ground had been frozen solid by the night chill, and the wheat in the fields lay beneath a layer of frost, looking even more frigid beneath the eastern dawn.

Zhuang Jianhui's group stood bundled in down jackets before a huge pit. They were still digging. The few of them had stubbornly endured the freezing night and dug for an entire night.
Three cobblers could match a Zhuge Liang. When they had first begun searching for bamboo rats, they had actually followed the clues to a bamboo rat nest, then started digging like mad.
Wang Yong was shivering miserably from the cold, and he was suffering inside!
To keep these rich second-generation kids company, he had endured the entire night. Fortunately, his down jacket was from a major brand and stuffed with a full 250 grams of down, making it highly resistant to cold. Still, he felt like a complete idiot now.
