Hu Qi strengthened his combat skills, qualified for the Core Class, and became entangled in the investigation of Lu Shi’s murder. When two Black Blood Species massacred his apartment building, Hu Qi killed them and contacted Lin Tong, who arranged for specialists to handle the scene.

• Hu Qi bought the violent purple duck from Ding Yu, named it Camphor Tea Duck, and used its eggs to gain Modification Points.
• Hu Qi rescued Li Yi from Lu Shi’s thugs, defeated them, and later watched Lu Shi and Jiang Yu Yan die after staging their deaths as a fall from a balcony.

Hu Qi joined the Snake Heart Sect and Zhu Xi, rapidly advanced his qi and blood, and drew Jiang Zuo’s attention as a potential disciple. He set out with Xie Fei on his first Zhu Xi mission to capture a Black Blood Species.

• Herlinta tested Hu Qi’s strength, gave him Snow Snake Paste, and led him with Lin Tong to inspect the massacre at Hanlin Garden, where Hu Qi’s defeat of two Blood Slaves stunned the investigators.

After becoming a personal disciple and receiving the Red Snake inheritance, he injured Han Luan but remained far from becoming a Martial Dao Practitioner as a threat beneath Heavenly Pool emerged.

• Chen Fan drained Xie Fei’s life and attacked Hu Qi, who resisted his Bewitchment and killed him with his saber.
