Ch. 284Prophecies of the Great Seer

As Silver Moon City gathered to mourn the dying Great Seer No, Connieus and Deo discussed the city’s future and the next Pope. Inside the temple, No began his final instructions by warning the church not to let its Popes become immortal.

  • Connieus and Deo pushed through the crowds hoping to witness No’s funeral procession, while debating Sir Damian’s expansionist position and the city’s growing population.
  • Deo prayed outside the temple for No, whom she believed no one could equal in the Lord’s judgment.
  • No addressed the church’s gathered leaders in the temple and said he had come to settle final matters.
  • No declared that the church must not have an immortal Pope, because life belonged to the mortal world and the soul should return to the Lord.

Ch. 285Bishop

As he neared death, No refused to appoint Silver Moon City's next Pope and instead set up a council and let rival leaders prove their ideas through action. After explaining his decision and naming regional religious leaders bishops, No died peacefully in the Great Hall as an old friend carved a stone tablet in his honor.

  • No told Silver Moon City's senior figures that they would choose a new Pope through their accomplishments rather than inherit the position by his appointment.
  • No ordered those who stayed in Silver Moon City to form a council and allowed those seeking expansion to lead followers into the wilderness and across the sea.
  • No proposed calling regional leaders responsible for preaching and religious affairs bishops, and the senior figures accepted the title.
  • No sent the others away and explained to his old friend that he expected the White Tower wizards to pursue their own paths rather than remain in Silver Moon City.
  • No died in the Great Hall after saying he was content with his life, and the city's great bell announced his death.

Ch. 286Phantom

After No died and was buried, his soul traveled through the Underworld River and reached the Fifth Layer of the Spirit World, where he met Ryan. Ryan asked why No believed in him, and No answered that the world itself encompassed every form of faith.

  • No watched his funeral and burial, then felt the River of Forgetfulness draw his soul into the Underworld.
  • Connieus reflected on No’s death and the changes ahead for Silver Moon City, while he and Deo parted with different plans for their futures.
  • No’s Holy Power blocked the river from washing away his memories as he passed through the Underworld and entered the Fifth Layer of the Spirit World.
  • No encountered Ryan and declared that he had completed the mission entrusted to him.
  • Ryan asked why No believed in him, and No said that every life needed faith and that only the world could encompass all forms of it.

Ch. 287Man and Dragon

After meeting Ryan, No chose to remain in the Spirit World rather than reincarnate or seek power, and met the Mind Dragon Iserania, who called herself White. No agreed to visit her territory and help her become wise, while Ryan glimpsed an uncertain future and the mortal world entered a long peace.

  • No left the Fifth Layer and reflected on his freedom to choose how he would live.
  • White appeared, introduced herself as Iserania, and asked No how to become wise.
  • No apologized for laughing and decided he wanted to share humanity’s ideas with the beings of the Spirit World.
  • No agreed to visit White’s territory and followed her through an illusory ring of light.
  • Ryan watched No depart, noted a possible future of death and new life, and said peace would last until the Hundred Heads Dragon Snake emerged.
  • Five hundred years passed in the mortal world, where winter had appeared.

Ch. 288The Missing Princess

After Princess Europa was carried off by a bull, King Agenor sent her three brothers to search for her. On Crete, Zeus revealed that he had abducted Europa for his own amusement and planned to keep Hera distracted while he enjoyed his scheme.

  • King Agenor ordered Phoenix, Cilix, and Cadmus to search for Europa and return in ten years, whether they had found her or not.
  • Agenor suspected that a god or monster was behind Europa’s disappearance and privately doubted that she would return.
  • Zeus watched the sea on Crete and recalled how he had carried Europa away as a bull, intending to deceive her and torment her after she discovered the truth.
  • Zephyrus reported that Hera remained in her palace and was not spying on the lands across the sea.
  • Zeus praised Zephyrus’s growth, discussed Helios’s divine power, and decided to postpone strengthening the divine court until the next day.

Ch. 289Typhon (Typhon)

Gaia’s long-awaited creation, Typhon, emerged from beneath the earth as a colossal hundred-headed demon. It ignored Gaia’s commands, tore free of the earth, and declared itself the King of Ten Thousand Demons, intending to replace Zeus.

  • Zeus secretly fathered another child on Crete while the three princes set out by raft to search for Europa.
  • Gaia waited underground as the Flesh Mother Tree’s sap nurtured Typhon and believed the newborn demon would become her weapon against Zeus.
  • Typhon emerged, grew to a hundred heads, and asked Gaia who it was and who the God King was.
  • Gaia told Typhon that it was born to destroy Olympus and should overthrow Zeus, but Typhon ignored her warning to stop expanding.
  • Typhon tore through the earth, injured Gaia, and declared itself the King of Ten Thousand Demons.

Ch. 290Sudden Change

Typhon’s birth disrupted the Underworld and exposed the Flesh Mother Tree’s influence, prompting Erebus and Ryan to protect their domains. Ryan prepared to leave the Spirit World and investigate Khaos, while Zeus continued pursuing Europa.

  • Erebus sensed Typhoeus’s birth, recognized that Gaia had helped the Flesh Mother Tree bypass Niflheim’s seal, and concealed the subterranean world as a secret.
  • Erebus protected the Golden Apple Tree and Dragon Egg, while Typhoeus’s roar reached the Underworld and he declared himself the King of Ten Thousand Demons.
  • Ryan sensed Typhoeus’s arrival and ordered Lyanna to protect the Nether Moon and Esther to restrict activity in the Zodiac Star Territory.
  • Ryan arranged safeguards for the Spirit World and decided to investigate Khaos, then planned to visit Nyx in the Eternal Night Land.
  • Ryan heard Typhon’s declaration and called it a tragedy, while Zeus continued visiting Europa in Crete despite her hateful gaze.

Ch. 291Heroic Spirits

Zeus explained his plan to use a divine kingdom to inspire mortal faith, then sensed Gaia’s return and went to confront the monstrous Typhon she had brought forth. Typhon emerged from underground and attacked Zeus as he approached.

  • Zeus told Zephyrus that he had created a world where the dead could live out their dreams and planned to use the promise of a divine kingdom to inspire mortal longing.
  • Zephyrus worried that Zeus intended to keep human souls from returning to the Spirit World, but Zeus said mortals only needed to believe in the kingdom.
  • Zeus sensed a warning and turned toward the west, but a tremendous roar erupted in the east as a colossal creature burst from underground.
  • Zeus recognized Gaia’s presence and told Zephyrus to stay behind while he went to confront her and her monster.
  • Typhon emerged fully from the earth, dismissed the tiny humans around it, and bit at the approaching Zeus.

Ch. 292Gods are Immortal

Zeus confronted Typhon, Gaia’s monstrous offspring, but Typhon overpowered him and discovered that the God King could not be killed. Dismissing Zeus’s offer and claim that gods were immortal, Typhon flew toward Olympus to test that belief on other gods.

  • Zeus approached Typhon and tried to learn its name, but Typhon attacked him and refused to communicate.
  • Zephyrus encountered Poseidon as they headed toward the battlefield, and both watched Typhon tear off Zeus’s arm and swallow him.
  • Typhon mauled Zeus repeatedly, but Zeus remained alive and explained that the gods were immortal and protected by the world’s Laws.
  • Typhon rejected Zeus’s explanation and flew toward Olympus, intending to test whether weaker gods could be killed.

Ch. 293Calamity and Signposts

Typhon defeated Zeus and ravaged Olympus, but could neither kill the gods nor destroy their Divine Offices, so it vowed to hunt them down and find a way to end them. Nyx watched the catastrophe from the Eternal Night Land, where Ryan arrived and revealed that Typhon was merely a lure for the place he intended to visit.

  • The gods on Olympus panicked as Typhon carried the broken, barely living Zeus toward the Divine Mountain, and Aphrodite fled with Harmonia, prompting the other gods to scatter.
  • Typhon reached Olympus, killed captured gods and destroyed its palaces, but failed to kill even the weakest god it tortured.
  • Zeus taunted Typhon that the laws of the world prevented it from killing gods or claiming kingship, and Typhon left him sealed inside a mountain cave after vowing to hunt down the gods.
  • Nyx watched Typhon's destruction from the outskirts of the Eternal Night Land and considered the changing nature of her Three-Phase Avatar.
  • Ryan arrived to meet Nyx and told her that Typhon was a lure meant to serve as a signpost for the place he planned to go.

Ch. 294The Self-Contradictory Fate

Ryan and Nyx followed the Olympian Gods toward Hermenu World, but the gods’ passage was halted by a conflict between Khaos’s fate and the Foreign Domain’s order. Ryan proposed using Athena, whose presence marked the gods’ location, to find a way into the world.

  • Ryan reminded Nyx that Io’s disappearance pointed to Hermenu World and explained that he could track a closely connected Olympian God after the transfer.
  • Athena watched Typhon devastate Olympus, decided to seek refuge with Okeanos, and was suddenly transported with the other gods toward Hermenu World.
  • As Ryan and Nyx pursued the gods through the void, the passage stalled when Khaos collided with itself and the gods’ light markers stopped outside Hermenu.
  • Ryan explained that the gods had arrived too early for Khaos to send them safely into the still-resistant Foreign Domain, while Nyx asked what would happen to them and Io.
  • Ryan turned to Athena’s marker and suggested using her to gain entry into Hermenu World.

Ch. 295Rising Suns

Ryan split Athena’s fate to form a soul that could enter Hermenu World, while Ra prepared to leave his world and investigate the void. In Khaos, warped time accelerated around Helios, whose survival inside the sun was threatened by the red-mist branch.

  • Ryan divided Athena’s True Name and began shaping a new soul, assigning one half to himself and the other to Hermenu World.
  • Ryan asked Nyx to hide the soul’s aura and form a connection with it, promising her a reward when Hermenu World was destroyed.
  • Ryan and Nyx spotted a golden light approaching from the Foreign Domain, which Ryan identified as likely Ra.
  • Ra ordered Shu to tell the gods that he would leave the mortal world, then began ascending from the sun toward the void.
  • Time accelerated across Khaos’s starry sky, and Helios realized the red-mist branch inside the sun could outlast him.

Ch. 296'Loyal to the Core'

Helios accepted the mother tree’s power through the sun after it invaded the solar core and threatened his position. Meanwhile, Typhon’s monsters spread destruction across the mortal world, and the wounded Zeus asked Zephyrus to help him escape.

  • The mother tree’s power broke through the sun’s protection, and Helios realized he would face the world’s punishment for allowing its invasion.
  • The mother tree showed Helios an image of Hyperion’s imprisonment and promised him a possible turning point, persuading him to accept its power.
  • Helios grasped the branch and let the mother tree’s power erode the sun’s domain, deciding that he had been given no real choice in his life.
  • Typhon’s shed flesh produced monsters and evil entities that rampaged across the world and left Corruption Scars on the land.
  • Zephyrus found Zeus gravely wounded in a cavern beneath the Corissian Mountain Range, and Zeus asked him to reconnect his limbs and find a resolute mortal to pull out the bone in his chest.

Ch. 297Having a Daughter

Cadmus met Zephyrus while searching for Europa and agreed to help rescue Zeus from Typhon. Trapped in the Corycian cavern, Zeus realized he might need to transform himself and give birth to the three Fates, but hesitated at the thought.

  • Cadmus traveled north in search of his missing sister, Europa, and encountered Zephyrus.
  • Zephyrus told Cadmus that Typhon had defeated Zeus and asked him to help rescue the God King; Cadmus agreed.
  • Zephyrus flew with Cadmus to the Corycian cavern, where Zeus remained trapped and powerless.
  • Zeus considered using Fate to ensure victory over Typhon and recalled that the God King's destined daughters would become the Goddesses of Fate.
  • Zeus realized he could transform himself and give birth to the daughters, but hesitated at the prospect.

Ch. 298Moirai

Zeus regained his strength after Cadmus removed the bone restraining him, then decided to bring the Goddess of Fate into the world with a mortal father. Meanwhile, Ra-Atum emerged from Hermenu and attacked Athena, leaving the gods in conflict as Zeus transformed himself into a goddess to carry out his plan.

  • Zephyrus brought Cadmus, prince of Phoenicia, to Zeus, who agreed to let him try removing the bone from his chest.
  • Nyx sensed that the Goddess of Fate was about to be born as Ra-Atum emerged from Hermenu and declared war on the outsiders.
  • Ra-Atum struck at Athena, whose protection had weakened after Fate deemed her mission complete.
  • Cadmus pulled the vertebra from Zeus's chest, then collapsed unconscious from the strain.
  • Zeus decided the Goddess of Fate needed a mortal father and used Cadmus's body and his own blood to create a goddess before transforming himself into her.

Ch. 299One Day Fruit

Zeus emerged from his ordeal with Typhon and witnessed the birth of the Three Goddesses of Fate, who offered him a way to challenge Typhon through an exchange witnessed by Fate. Zeus staked his power, Fate, kingship, and even death to create a fruit for Typhon, while Atropos warned that the price would eventually be paid.

  • Zephyrus waited outside the cave, sensed a formidable power inside, and hoped Zeus would reward him after the crisis.
  • Zeus reflected on his ordeal and watched Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos emerge from their light cocoons as adult goddesses.
  • Atropos offered Zeus a Fate-witnessed wager: Typhon could take everything from him if it defeated him, but would lose its power to Zeus if it failed within the allotted time.
  • Zeus asked whether he could stake his death to gain the power to kill Typhon, and Atropos confirmed that breaking its immortality required that price.
  • Zeus planted the Fate-seed after staking his price, and Atropos took the resulting fruit to give to Typhon.
  • Atropos warned Zeus that his price would eventually be paid, then departed with her sisters as Zeus left the cave and destroyed it.

Ch. 300Nissa Mountain and the Ten Thousand Year Ship

Zeus hid the truth about the One Day Fruit’s wager while Atropos concealed its real terms, accepting the Backlash of Fate to protect her sisters and help Zeus gain Typhon’s power. As the Three Goddesses of Fate headed for Nissa Mountain, Ra fought Ryan and Nyx in the Void and prepared to use the Ten Thousand Year Ship to seize another target.

  • Zeus praised Zephyrus for his loyalty, confirmed that he had heard nothing, and took him along to hide from Typhon.
  • Clotho confronted Atropos for concealing how the One Day Fruit worked and recognized that the deception had begun to exact a physical toll on her eldest sister.
  • Atropos explained that the Goddesses of Fate had been born under the Backlash of Fate and that an unseen Primordial God was disturbing Fate, with Zeus standing at a critical point.
  • Atropos told Clotho and Lachesis to wait for Typhon at Nissa Mountain and warned that they would experience the effects of twisted Fate when the mysterious force acted again.
  • Ra fought Ryan while Nyx attacked from the darkness, then watched the balls of light begin to retreat and planned to use the Ten Thousand Year Ship to take something for himself.

Ch. 301Slaying Myself

Ra escaped the Foreign Domain deities after stealing part of one deity’s origin, while Ryan stayed behind as the path between worlds began to vanish. Ryan separated his humanity from his divinity and prepared to remain in Hermenu until he could bring about the world’s end.

  • Ra used the Sun Boat’s speed to reach a light cluster, seize part of a deity’s origin, and flee despite Ryan’s attack damaging the Divine Artifact and nearly splitting Ra’s body in two.
  • Ra returned to his sun and carried it into the Boundless Darkness, vowing to decide life and death with Ryan and Nyx the next time they met.
  • Ryan and Nyx watched the worlds’ temporary passage begin to disappear as the deities withdrew, and Nyx realized Ryan had brought her there so she would return to Khaos while he stayed behind.
  • Ryan asked Nyx to protect the Spirit Realm and revealed he had never planned to return to Khaos.
  • Ryan struck himself with his sword, separating an illusory part containing his humanity from his divinity, then told Nyx to return while he stayed to await the sun’s setting and begin this world’s end.

Ch. 302Amon and the Infiltration

Ra returned to Hermenu wounded after battling the foreign God of Light, Apollo, and prepared to die so that Amon could inherit his power and be reborn from the Absolute Void. Meanwhile, Isis intercepted Pallas’s drifting soul and recognized that an outsider had been sent to infiltrate the world through repeated reincarnations.

  • Ra examined his injuries and the wings he had torn from Apollo, then decided to preserve their foreign light as a possible escape route.
  • Thoth met Ra in the Primordial Water, and Ra told him that Amon would inherit his power and become Amon-Ra-Atum after his death.
  • Ra drew out power associated with Amon, the masculine personification of the Absolute Void, and chose it as the foundation for his reincarnation.
  • Ra delayed beginning the rebirth ceremony so he could observe how the Egyptian gods reacted to his apparent death and use them as cannon fodder against the Outer God.
  • Isis caught Pallas’s soul near the Nile Riverbank and realized that a foreign visitor was infiltrating Hermenu through repeated reincarnations among people with foreign bloodlines.

Ch. 303This Was Chaos and Evil

Isis realized that giving life to a soul rejected by its own world's Fate could provoke a catastrophic clash between the worlds, so she withdrew and hid when Ra returned. In the northern lands, Atropos gave Typhon the One Day Fruit, and he set off to challenge Zeus before its power expired.

  • Isis recognized that the foreign soul was being rejected by its world's Fate and refrained from giving it a body.
  • Isis saw Ra returning and vanished to avoid drawing his attention.
  • Typhon searched the starry sky and ocean for a way to kill Zeus, then found Atropos at Nissa Mountain.
  • Atropos gave Typhon the One Day Fruit, explaining that it would let him defeat Zeus within a day but that failure would leave him permanently inferior.
  • Typhon attacked Atropos, found that he could not kill her, and flew toward the Corissian Mountain Range to confront Zeus.
