Ch. 304Reemergence

Typhon returned to the surface and ravaged the world while searching for Zeus, but the laws increasingly rejected him. Zeus confronted him near Nissa Mountain, and as their battle resumed, Athena awakened from a strange vision and approached the fight.

  • Typhon searched across the land and sea for Zeus, causing widespread destruction and intensifying the world's rejection of him.
  • Typhon seized Atropos at Nissa Mountain, but she told him the One Day Fruit had been real and that he had failed to use his chance against Zeus.
  • Zeus arrived and offered Typhon mercy if he swore allegiance, but Typhon attacked him without hesitation.
  • Athena awakened in an unnamed valley with a sense that a burden had vanished, while Apollo returned to his realm gravely injured and transformed into a wingless black eagle.
  • Typhon severed one of Zeus's heads, struck Ares into the ground, and then Zeus gained the upper hand and urged Typhon to submit.
  • Typhon rejected Zeus's offer, and their renewed battle tore through the earth and heavens as Typhon's decline became clear.

Ch. 305Rise and Fall

Zeus defeated Typhon with the gods’ aid and tried to persuade him to submit, but Typhon refused to yield even when facing death. Zeus finally killed him beneath the island, knowing that the Typhon Disaster and its consequences would endure.

  • The gods supported Zeus as he battled Typhon, and Zeus overwhelmed him with a lightning spirit and the Thunderbolt Arrow.
  • Zeus pinned the exhausted Typhon beneath an island and offered him a chance to serve, but Typhon rejected him and mocked him as Fate’s puppet.
  • Typhon revealed that he knew he had been treated as a tool and defied the fate that made him Zeus’s destined defeated opponent.
  • Atropos warned Zeus that Typhon’s fate should not end there, but Zeus decided he had no choice as Typhon’s strength returned.
  • Typhon declared that his death would only begin a disaster and make the world remember his name, and Zeus killed him with a final thunderclap.

Ch. 306Blood Sun

After Typhon’s death, Zeus stayed to seal its remains while the gods were tasked with fighting the new dangers spreading across the world. As the sun transformed into the Ancient Evil Thing Corona, Athena flew toward Helios, who awaited her within it.

  • Zeus sensed that Typhon’s scattered power was spreading through the world and decided to remain behind to seal its corpse.
  • The gods noticed that the sun had changed and that its light carried the power of an Outer God; Hestia and Athena volunteered to confront it, and Zeus sent Athena.
  • Zeus ordered the other gods to hunt down the demons Typhon had left behind.
  • Typhon’s power produced monsters and Ancient Evil Things across the earth and starry sky, while the Mother Tree’s influence intensified in the Underworld.
  • Helios, transformed into the heart of the sun as Corona revived, reflected on Typhon’s defeat and watched Athena approach.

Ch. 307Land of the Dead

Hades recovered from the Mother Tree’s assault on the Underworld and learned that his undead had found an entrance to Helheim near the Silent Crown’s domain. In the spirit world, Esther spotted Athena approaching the corrupted sun and saw a possible way to stop its spread.

  • Hades withdrew from merging with the Netherworld and let Persephone take over while he assessed the damage and the Ancient Evil Things created by the disaster.
  • Hades heard from Evans that the weakest entrance to Helheim lay near the Silent Crown’s domain, and he decided to investigate and deal with the evil thing there.
  • Hades reflected that undead might explore Helheim and considered whether a powerful mortal could someday arise to help.
  • Esther watched the Mother Tree-corrupted sun and worried that it would infect the Zodiac Star Territory.
  • Esther spotted Athena flying up from the ground and thought of a way to address the sun, even if the mortal world would lose its sun.

Ch. 308Zodiac Great Barrier

Esther and Athena set a Zodiac Star Territory ritual in motion to divide and suppress the sun’s power and the Mother Tree’s corruption, while Zeus recognized the barrier’s value and prepared to help contain the Ancient Evil Things it could not stop. The chapter left the sun’s light fading, with Zeus considering how to reinforce the ritual and wondering where Apollo had gone and how mortals would get light.

  • Esther left the spirit world to meet Athena, hoping to borrow Eclipse’s power for a plan to address the transformed sun.
  • Helios saw the twelve star gods align the Zodiac Star Territories, dividing the sun’s power and spreading the Mother Tree’s corruption through the starry sky for suppression.
  • Helios released Ancient Evil Things made from the sun’s light to attack the barrier, and the starry sky dimmed as the Zodiac territories grew brighter.
  • Zeus recognized the ritual’s design and took the Hall of Heroic Spirits to help fight the Ancient Evil Things that escaped into the starry sky.
  • Zeus wondered where Apollo had gone and how the mortal world would find illumination if the sun’s light remained blocked.

Ch. 309The Source of the Heavens' Fall

Apollo found the Sun Chariot and learned from Atropos that a source of sunlight was hidden in Zeus's treasury, while Nyx returned to the world after confronting Erebus. A concealed newcomer also entered Khaos world, but lingering spacetime distortion delayed his arrival by centuries or longer.

  • Apollo recovered the Sun Chariot from the ruins of the Sun Temple and questioned how it could restore light without a sun.
  • Atropos told Apollo that a sun belonging to him was in Zeus's treasury and urged him to follow her.
  • Erebus confronted Nyx about her sudden absence and warned her about the Outer God, but Nyx dismissed his concern and returned to the lower world.
  • Erebus observed the spread of the Outer God's influence and hoped the world could resist further damage during the Third Era.
  • A concealed newcomer entered Khaos world, but spacetime distortion slowed his arrival, postponing it by hundreds or possibly more than a thousand years.

Ch. 310The History Told by the Victor

Atropos helped Apollo use the Ancient Sun God’s three fragments of authority to restore the sun, while the world’s laws suppressed divine powers after the Typhon Disaster. Back on Olympus, Zeus presented the gods with his version of events, blaming Gaia and Typhon for his defeat and ensuring that his account became the accepted history.

  • Atropos told Apollo to use the Sun Chariot and a Divine Artifact to wield the Morning Sun, Noon Sun, and Twilight Sun, and Apollo agreed to take up the role of the sun god.
  • The Morning Sun rose and crossed the sky, completing a cycle that allowed the world’s laws to recognize it as the new sun.
  • Zeus returned to Olympus as the gods reported that evil creatures still rampaged across the earth, but he refused to send help because divine powers were suppressed.
  • Zeus told the gods that Gaia and an Outer God had conspired with Typhon to ambush him, then claimed he had defeated Typhon after Fate and Zephyrus aided him.
  • The gods accepted Zeus’s account, and the truth of the Typhon Disaster was sealed beneath the version told by the victors.

Ch. 311Rewards and the Human Dimension

After the Typhon Disaster, Zeus distributed rewards, arranged Harmonia’s marriage to Cadmus, and discussed Silver Moon City with Zephyrus. The years passed as the disaster’s changes endured, while a light bearing temporal and spatial power continued toward an uninhabited northeastern coast.

  • Zeus credited Athena and Apollo for their roles in the disaster and ordered Helios’s former followers and temples redirected to the new sun or Athena.
  • Zeus made Zephyrus a chief god and granted him authority over the weather, then gave Ares, Demeter, and other gods symbolic rewards.
  • Zeus decreed that Cadmus would found a city-state and marry Harmonia, despite Aphrodite having no say in the matter.
  • Zephyrus told Zeus about Silver Moon City, whose people called the Olympian Gods false gods, and Zeus said it would be allowed to remain isolated.
  • The passage of years preserved the Typhon Disaster’s effects, while a light wrapped in temporal and spatial power continued toward the northeastern coast.

Ch. 312Welcome to the New Era and the Alchemy Association?

Ryan awakened inside a meteorite crater near Turingen, killed two farmers who attacked him, and took the name Evan. After using Sammel’s memories to learn about the northern region and the Jade Ring Alchemy Association, he decided to visit Turingen.

  • Nike and Sammel found a young man sealed inside a crystal shell at the bottom of the crater and broke it open.
  • Sammel attacked the young man with a pitchfork, but Ryan awakened, killed Sammel, and then killed Nike as he fled.
  • Ryan took the name Evan and used a blood-drawn array to cast Advanced Thought Detection on Sammel, learning about the surrounding world.
  • Ryan discovered that the Jade Ring Alchemy Association was led by Grand Alchemist Hermes, who had founded alchemy through the principle of equivalent exchange.
  • Ryan decided to visit Turingen and see the altered world for himself.

Ch. 313The National Strength Behind Silver Coins

Ryan returned to the mortal world near Hermenu, traveled to City of Turingen, and began investigating the unfamiliar era while adapting to ordinary life. After entering the city, he uncovered a shopkeeper’s attempt to rob him and decided to use the city’s libraries to learn more, funding his plans by targeting the man’s accomplices.

  • Ryan separated his divinity from his humanity, dressed in local peasant clothes, and headed toward City of Turingen with silver coins taken from two men he had buried.
  • On the road to Turingen, Ryan examined a silver coin and inferred that Athens had advanced minting and craftsmanship, while its supernatural world and external threats might be accelerating social change.
  • Ryan paid the entrance tax and entered City of Turingen, then bought ordinary clothes from an elderly shopkeeper who mistook him for a wealthy runaway noble.
  • Ryan lured a pursuer into a secluded alley, knocked him unconscious, and took his money pouch.
  • Ryan decided to use Athens’s libraries to learn about the past and planned to draw out the men connected to the shopkeeper so they would pay his expenses.

Ch. 314Heroes, History, and the War of Peace

Ryan studied the history and politics of the world at the Pan-Athena Episteme Museum, connecting its rivalries to a future war over the Golden Apple. After being cornered by Vis and his gang, Ryan used a spell to knock them down and demanded their valuables and the identity of their employer.

  • Ryan visited the Pan-Athena Episteme Museum and learned about its collections and the Knowledge Church’s role in preserving them.
  • Ryan read about the rise of the God Blood Aristocrats, Athens’s founding, and the political pressures that could lead to war among mortal nations.
  • Ryan connected the coming Golden Apple conflict and the ten-year war to the tensions building between gods and mortals.
  • Ryan went to western Turingen looking for another group of pursuers to rob and let Vis’s gang corner him in an alley.
  • Ryan cast a repulsive spell that toppled the attackers, then demanded their valuables and asked who employed them.

Ch. 315Great Lord and Bard

Ryan prepared a Spirituality barrier after learning that Saint Warriors were investigating cultists in Turingen, then summoned power from the Hell Great Lord to become a Divinity User. He adopted the cover of a Hell Lord’s agent and decided his new profession resembled a bard.

  • Ryan took money and locks of hair from the men who had tried to extort him, then returned to Turingen disguised as a noble youth.
  • Ryan obtained ritual materials with help from a local noble and created a Spirituality barrier to conceal his aura.
  • Ryan reasoned that Saint Warriors drew power from justice and learned they were investigating cultists in Turingen.
  • Ryan rejected the wizard and knight paths, then performed a ritual calling on the Great Serpent that Encompasses the Midgard.
  • Hell’s power descended into Ryan, granting him Holy Power and making him a Divinity User; he planned to pose as the Hell Great Lord’s agent and likened his abilities to a bard’s.

Ch. 316Bard

Ryan learned the abilities of his new bard profession and heard that Saint Warriors had come to Turingen to investigate the Resurrection Sect. After Madam Seville secretly planted a bloodstained Knowledge Church badge on him, Ryan divined the sect’s strength and set out to investigate it.

  • Ryan tested his Hell Overlord Special Edition bard abilities, including divine spellcasting, heightened perception, and sleep-inducing song.
  • Ryan learned from Jess that Saint Warriors were investigating the Resurrection Sect and that their leader had fought in the Demon Sealing War.
  • Madam Seville bumped into Ryan and slipped a bloodstained church badge into his clothes.
  • Ryan recognized the badge as a deliberate attempt to draw the Saint Warriors’ attention and suspected Madam Seville was connected to the Resurrection Sect.
  • Ryan used the badge to divine the sect’s strength, then decided to investigate its branch himself.

Ch. 317Contradiction

Ryan infiltrated Madam Sammel’s house, uncovered the Resurrection Sect’s ties to the Heavenly Queen and Kingdom of Argos, and killed Sammel after questioning her. He followed a divination toward the North District, while Hera learned that the king of Athens had defeated Nereus’s avatar and cleared a southern sea route.

  • Ryan disguised himself, entered No. 29 Ryan Avenue, and used music to put the servants to sleep before forcing his way through the basement trap.
  • Ryan found Madam Sammel unconscious in a prayer room, woke her, and learned that the Resurrection Sect was connected to the Kingdom of Argos and the Heavenly Queen.
  • Ryan killed Madam Sammel, crushed her soul into a crystal, and used her corpse to divine a general direction toward the North District.
  • Ryan took the sect’s divine statue and left in disguise, planning to infiltrate the Resurrection Sect as Sammel’s subordinate.
  • At the Golden Palace, Hera questioned Hebe about the king of Athens and learned that he had defeated Nereus’s divine avatar and cleared a southern sea route.
  • Hera raged at the king’s growing accomplishments but admitted she could not openly attack him in Athena’s territory.

Ch. 318Sacrifice

Ryan infiltrated the warehouse where the Heavenly Queen’s followers were preparing to sacrifice Andrea, the captured daughter of Theseus, and discovered they had turned the ritual toward an Evil God. As the ceremony began to go wrong, Ryan killed the guard and entered the warehouse to stop the cultists.

  • A young man brought the Divine Statue to the Black-Clothed Men, claiming Lady Sammel had sent him and urging them to hurry their plans.
  • The cultists prepared to sacrifice Andrea, whom they had held captive for six days, and began the ritual ahead of schedule.
  • Andrea heard the Divine Statue’s chant invoke the Lord of billions of demons and the Flesh Mother Tree rather than the Heavenly Queen.
  • Ryan asked La Qi about using a righteous-god ritual to worship an Evil God, then learned the cultists’ prayers had stopped and a beastlike howl came from inside.
  • Ryan struck La Qi with Arrow Shooting Art and Fear Art, killed him, and entered the warehouse to confront the cultists.

Ch. 319'Unyielding' and Messer's Revelation

Ryan rescued Andrea from the failed Living Spirit Sacrifice and took her south toward Athens, making the frightened princess drive their carriage. Meanwhile, a lone deity repelled an outsider’s attack, but its transmitted information reached the shepherd Messer as a mysterious ball of fire.

  • Andrea hid from the ritual’s chaos while Ryan defeated the surviving cultists and found her on the altar.
  • Ryan questioned Andrea, declared her his prisoner, and learned that she was an Athenian princess and a High-Ranked Divine Official.
  • Ryan packed the cultists’ valuables into their carriage and left Turingen with Andrea driving toward Athens.
  • Ryan explained that he wanted to avoid drawing the attention of Athens’s king and gods, while Andrea protested that she could not drive.
  • At the outskirts of Hermenu World, a lone deity repelled an invading power, but its information entered the world and reached Messer, a shepherd, as a ball of fire.

Ch. 320Seeing God

At eighty, Messer encountered a voice calling him to Mount Sinai and followed the burning bush into a world beyond his own. He reached the mountain’s summit, saw the true God, and bowed before it.

  • Messer remembered his birth as a forbidden second Hebrew son, his adoption by Pharaoh’s daughter, and his flight to Midian after killing an Egyptian.
  • Ra sensed an intrusion into the world and resolved to stop waiting and confront the growing danger.
  • Isis sensed the Outer God’s arrival but hesitated to approach, choosing to watch what instructions Messer received.
  • Messer heard a voice from the unburning bush call him to Mount Sinai and promise that he would become his people’s salvation.
  • Messer crossed into a wondrous realm, climbed the Divine Mountain, and prostrated himself before the being he recognized as God.

Ch. 321Make a Covenant

Messer met God and chose to abandon his promised future and eternal life so he could suffer alongside the Hebrews and lead them to safety. God made a covenant with him, completing his rebirth as Pallas and triggering a violent upheaval between Hermenu and Khaos; Ra prepared to press his attack, while Erebus headed for Mount Olympus hoping Ryan would kill him.

  • Messer learned that God had never tested or watched over the Hebrews, but had watched Messer alone and shown him the catastrophe awaiting them.
  • After seeing his ten past lives and the coming destruction, Messer chose to return to his people, endure the disaster with them, and lead them to the End of the Sea; God promised retribution against their oppressors and made a covenant with him.
  • God completed Messer as Pallas, intensifying the collision between Hermenu and Khaos and causing the Foreign Domain's power to surge into Hermenu.
  • Ra's attempt to unleash the sun's power was interrupted by the upheaval, but he decided to continue targeting the Hebrews and summoned Shu while taking responsibility for reinforcing the world's barrier.
  • Erebus sensed the upheaval, considered how it might affect his plans, and set out for Mount Olympus, hoping Ryan would kill him.

Ch. 322Secret Talk

Ares complained to Zeus about Athena, but Zeus left after sensing Erebus and met him on a cliff. Erebus exploited Zeus’s resentment toward the Spirit Realm and offered to help him strengthen his rule by starting a conflict in the mortal world.

  • Ares complained that Athena’s actions had damaged his reputation, but Zeus dismissed him and left the banquet after sensing a familiar aura.
  • Ares turned to Hera for support and thought fondly of Aphrodite, whom he believed was devoted to him.
  • Zeus met Erebus on a cliff and discussed the growing disturbance in the World Power and the limits of his authority beyond his realm.
  • Erebus criticized Zeus’s false Divine Kingdom and recalled how Tantalus’s defiance had exposed doubts about the gods’ power.
  • Zeus suspected Erebus wanted him to target the Spirit Realm, but Erebus proposed that Zeus choose which disruptive gods to confront first.
  • Erebus offered to help Zeus become the ruler of the present world and said their plan should begin in the mortal world.

Ch. 323Each Cherishes a Ghost

Zeus and Erebus agreed to provoke a war that would draw the gods into conflict with Ryan, while Zeus planned to use it to consolidate his rule. Far away, Messer received a god-given staff and set out to return to Egypt.

  • Zeus reconsidered Erebus's proposal and decided that a divine war could help him bring the Titans, the Lord of the Outer Sea, and Hades under his rule.
  • Erebus demanded that Zeus's underground forces join the war, that he surrender the Golden Apple Tree, and that he secretly persuade the Underworld gods to serve Erebus; Zeus accepted the conditions.
  • After Erebus left, Zeus thought of Athena and began planning how to turn mortal conflicts into a war among the gods.
  • Zeus returned to the Golden Palace and resolved to keep pretending he knew about Hera's slaughter and blood sacrifices while encouraging her to intensify them.
  • Messer returned to his hill in Midian with a staff that would grow stronger as his people suffered calamities, then prepared to travel back to Egypt after forty years away.
