Superman Arrives

Vegeta ignored the Kryptonians after speaking and turned to Nappa. Faora raised a hand to stop the Kryptonian soldiers behind her, signaling them not to act rashly.

In the field, Nappa was dueling Wonder Woman. Though it was called a duel, the other superheroes were ready to jump in at any moment. Once Batman smashed his cup as the signal, they would swarm him. There was no question of pride. Earth had been invaded by evil aliens; this was called joining forces against a powerful foe. Their deeds would only be remembered for generations. Much like in a certain Ancient Eastern Country, where three brothers got beaten like dogs in a one-on-one fight, then ganged up to defeat their enemy and earned a reputation that had lasted nearly two thousand years.

Wonder Woman was practically the second-strongest powerhouse after Superman. With demigod blood flowing through her veins, superb martial skill, and immense strength, she launched a relentless series of attacks and fought Nappa to a standstill.

Batman in his new armor had been taken down by Nappa in two moves, yet Wonder Woman was putting up an impressive fight. Her full set of purple gear played a major role. Nappa knocked away the Sword of Hephaestus, so Wonder Woman raised the Aegis Shield. After the shield was knocked away as well, she brought out the Lasso of Truth. Beyond that, she also had the Bracelets of Submission and the Lasso of Truth... Well, she still had the Helmet of Champion and Winged Sandals unused!

As the battle dragged on, Nappa wore an expression like he had screwed a husky. In close combat, Wonder Woman was clearly weaker than him, yet some piece of equipment always saved her at the critical moment.
