Kuzan stretched out a hand toward Duke. Across the frozen sea, countless ice spikes suddenly erupted from the previously smooth surface, thrusting toward him. Some were as fine as hairs, others as thick as beams, layer upon layer in an unending stream, as if they would not rest until they had shredded him apart.
"Rankyaku: Infinite Kick!"
Fortunately, Duke's Observation Haki was no mere decoration. Before the ice spikes could reach him, he planted one foot on the ground and kicked out blue vacuum slashes. Then he switched feet, sending slash after slash in every direction. Visible shockwaves spread outward, severing the endless ice spikes.
Once Kuzan got serious, he chose not to hold back. After launching the ice-spike assault, he swiftly dove into the ice layer and appeared behind Duke. Half his body lay concealed within the frozen sea as he gripped a rapidly forming ice halberd and thrust it toward Duke's back.
Duke raised the tip of his blade and blocked the ice halberd. Then he threw a punch that released a vacuum shockwave, shattering half of Kuzan's body. At the same time, he used Observation Haki to track his opponent's movements, gripped Flower Continent with both hands, and slashed viciously at the ice beneath his feet. The blade split the frozen sea, carving a long, straight diagonal gash through it. Kuzan, hiding below, was cut apart once again.
Amid crackling sounds, bone-piercing cold began spreading in all directions. Kuzan stepped out of the ice, surrounded by an extremely frigid mist. Even in this frozen sea, dozens of degrees below zero, his body temperature remained noticeably different from the surrounding temperature.
"Ice Block: Two-Spike Spear!"
More than ten spears of ice formed under Kuzan's command and stabbed toward every vital point around Duke's body.
