Medea severed Red Archer's contract, then transferred it to Duke before she had even had time to warm it up. The Witch of Betrayal had complicated feelings. In another sense, her wish had come true. A Master so powerful that she could not betray him—and who did not care if she betrayed him. If only his personality were not so awful, he would have been perfect.
With a new Master, Red Archer found it difficult to adjust at first. Unprecedentedly vast magical energy flooded through every part of his body, and his wounds rapidly healed. Before long, he climbed back to his feet.
"Xiaolan, give his things back!"
Upon receiving Duke's order, Lancelot withdrew the ability of Knight Does Not Die with Empty Hands. Though he was dissatisfied in a hundred different ways, he was unwilling to disobey his lord's command. All he could do was stand to the side and glare death at Red Archer.
Lancelot acknowledged Red Archer's strength as a hero, but that was all. He deeply despised the other man's inability to keep his pants on... Well, one brother should not criticize another. He had put a hat on Ahoge too.
The red patterns spread throughout the world receded like a tide. Red Archer regained control of his Reality Marble, his expression gloomy and his spirits low. "You're giving Unlimited Blade Works back to me so easily? Aren't you afraid I'll turn against you?"
"As a Master, I'm very generous. I welcome your betrayal at any time. But let me make one thing clear: if your betrayal is too ugly, I'll be very angry. So before you betray me, think carefully about whether you have any chance of winning if you challenge them again. If you don't, don't make yourself even more miserable."
