"Whether it's real or not, why don't you try and find out?" Duke stood atop Katsuyu's head, imitating Tsunade's tone from memory. With a grand sweep of his hand, he declared boldly, "Katsuyu, target the enemy position ahead. Spit on them."
"Tongue Tooth Sticky Acid!"
Although he got the name wrong, Katsuyu understood Duke's order and sprayed the Sand Shinobi with a massive amount of corrosive liquid. It was not because the two shared some unspoken understanding, but because, as a medical summon, Katsuyu only had a handful of offensive techniques, and this one happened to be the closest to what Duke meant.
Her enormous size meant overwhelming output. The acid rained down like a torrential downpour, covering an area comparable to a large-scale jutsu cast by a Kage-level ninja. Rocks and trees sizzled as the acid poured over them, smoking white as they melted into sludge. If even stone could not withstand it, flesh and blood stood even less chance. Several unlucky Sand Shinobi failed to escape in time and were drenched in sulfuric-acid-like corrosive fluid. Before they could even scream, their flesh and bones melted away, leaving only puddles of rotten muck.
The Sand Shinobi who had escaped by luck saw their comrades' grisly fate and trembled in terror, flinging shuriken and kunai one after another. Since Katsuyu was a soft-bodied creature, she did not fear physical attacks. She accepted every weapon that struck her, absorbing the blade tools into her body. Then countless tiny heads emerged from her sides and spat out the weapons she had swallowed, taking down another wave of Sand Shinobi.
"Don't attack blindly! Spread out and use long-range ninjutsu! Physical attacks are useless against that summon!" the leader ordered. Whether Tsunade was real still needed to be confirmed, but Katsuyu was unquestionably genuine.
