"A new page—was it still called the Chain Law Compendium?"
Zhang Yu gazed at the Feather Scroll before him and the newly merged page of the Chain Law Compendium. His understanding of how books were divided into Lesser, Mid-Grade, and higher grades gradually grew clearer.
"Lesser Books usually have just one modular function."
"Mid-Grade Books open up entirely new abilities. Books like Tai Yuebai's, some on the Immortal Emperor's exemption list, and my Chain Law Compendium can all bring about a qualitative change for a cultivator. But even among Mid-Grade Books, their abilities vary, and the gaps between them are probably enormous."
"And the higher-grade book Feathering Ascension stands at the pinnacle of all books. It's a true shortcut to attaining an immortal seat, establishing a Dao Orthodoxy, and then remaking heaven and earth."
Zhang Yu understood that, when all was said and done, becoming an immortal and establishing a Dao Orthodoxy were what mattered most in Kunxu's Immortal Cultivation world.
Meanwhile, as the Chain Law Compendium merged, Zhang Yu felt his progress in seeking the Dao within the Immortal Foundation Chapter surge from 48% to 58% in one leap. His Spatial Technology had made another tremendous advance.
For now, though, his attention was elsewhere. He quietly sensed the result of the Chain Law Compendium's integration and thought, No new functions. Just as I expected. To improve the original book and add new functions, like the Immortal Foundation Chapter did, I'll need the Feather Scroll to upgrade again?
Recalling how the Immortal Foundation Chapter had merged and upgraded, his thoughts raced. If the Feather Scroll upgrades again, perhaps it can enhance the Chain Law Compendium's abilities.
In the past, upgrades to my Feather Scroll didn't seem to follow much of a pattern.
*But now, by merging different books before upgrading,
