Yu Jing spoke with Lovecraft separately about Cthulhu and Lu Mian.
However, during their conversation, Lovecraft showed that he was not particularly concerned about Cthulhu.
He was nothing like Cthulhu's descendant, who would protect the master of R'lyeh to the death.
Lovecraft merely stated his own view: if anyone tried to seize the power of Deep Sea Chaos, he would certainly stop them, but he had no extreme ideas.
When asked how he had obtained the ability of Deep Sea Chaos, Lovecraft said that he had once been merely a horror artist.
Because he had needed to gather material, he had traveled around the world for years. Once, while creating a work on an island in Hawaii, he had been drawn into a special dream. After passing the test aboard a strange ship in the dream, he had obtained Cthulhu's initial inheritance.
From then on, he could often converse with Cthulhu in his dreams. They were both an agent and disciple, as well as kindred spirits within the dreamscape.
By dreaming again and again, he had learned more knowledge related to chaos and unknowingly reached a level close to that of a god... Such an effortless cultivation process left Yu Jing utterly speechless.
"That's good. I was rather worried that you, Lovecraft, might do something impulsive."
"...If Lord Cthulhu hadn't warned me in the dream, I might have privately gone to ask Dean Lu Mian about this matter. But Lord Cthulhu told me through the dream that this person was exceptionally dangerous and told me to act cautiously... So I deliberately waited for you to come and see what you thought."
Yu Jing had not expected the friend he had met through gaming to trust him so much.
