With one step, Gao Gong vanished, and when he took his next step, he reappeared in the vacuum of space.
Stars dotted the surroundings. No stellar-scale celestial body illuminated the area; only the flowing light of the universe occasionally lit up stars hundreds or thousands of light-years away.
Yet this stretch of space was not dark. Instead, it was dazzlingly bright.
Countless mechanical lifeforms spewed out of the black hole. Floating spatial stabilizing anchors filled the area as far as the eye could see, and atop those space anchors stood one interstellar structure after another, all under construction.
There were even mechanical constructs above the interstellar buildings—mechanical celestial bodies.
Mechanical planets, for example. One mechanical planet after another was being assembled under the operation of endless mechanical lifeforms.
To build a mechanical planet, the first thing constructed was its external planetary energy system. This differed from normal planets, where most planetary resources were stored underground.
In fact, after modifying energy-extraction technologies like the "Dyson sphere" and "stellar ring," they became the planetary energy modules of mechanical planets.
"Holy shit, what's that—"
Gao Gong looked toward a super-mechanical celestial body beside a mechanical planet.
It was an unfinished construct, with at least three-quarters of it still incomplete.
The reason Gao Gong had blurted out "holy shit" was that this mechanical celestial body was fucking huge!
Its volume was at least a million times that of the mechanical planet beside it. Gao Gong stood across from the mechanical planet and looked at the super-celestial body on the other side.
Relative to that super-celestial body, the mechanical planet had become a glowing speck.
Gao Gong stared for a long while before finally confirming:
"This is—a stellar-level mechanical celestial body?"
"This absolutely cannot be a construct of a level-three civilization!"
Only ascended mechanical civilizations
