"That, uh, brother, we're all on the same side—"
"Who said we're on the same side? Did I ever say I was from the Space-Time Administration?" Gao Gong looked utterly unafraid.
If you weren't on the same side, I would've killed you eight hundred years ago!
After "confirming" that this person was a "Black Glove"-class space-time informant, Gavrey truly didn't dare offend him.
After all, in the eyes of the upper ranks, low-level agents were like weeds in the fields: wildfire couldn't burn them all away, and spring winds would bring them back again.
Who knew how many people wanted to enter the Administration and enjoy this permanent, iron rice bowl outside the timeline?
But a top-level space-time informant might well be monitoring an important space-time crisis, responsible for a major matter personally overseen by some "Director."
The more Gavrey thought about it, the more he scared himself, and the more he scared himself, the more he thought.
Someone working for a Director wasn't someone like him, a man with two disciplinary records, could afford to offend.
One more disciplinary record, and he'd be kicked out!
Just as Gavrey was wondering how to smooth things over, Gao Gong seemed to think of something and said:
"Even if you came looking for me for whatever reason, you couldn't have had someone locate me right from the start. You went to Longhorn Whale Alpha Centauri, didn't you? With your style of taking bribes and abusing your position, you must've taken something, right?"
Gavrey gave an awkward smile.
"Well, I saw that your family's ore was pretty good, so I dug up a little."
Gao Gong silently held out his hand.
Gavrey could only start taking things out. One ton, two tons, three tons...
In the end, he directly took out seventy-six tons
