One of the High-Risk Species
Gao Gong didn't know this group of "Nebula Whisperers."
But they knew him.
More precisely, they knew his "player"—General Cybertron.
"Cybertron... Cybertron... Cybertron..."
It was a form of "starlight whispering," similar to channel communication, but more advanced.
Gao Gong had heard this voice before, just before the faster-than-light attack.
However, after he successfully fled, the signal had been cut off again.
Now, the other side was trying to reconnect.
My head hurts. I actually ran into an acquaintance.
If Gao Gong really were Cybertron, even if he had only obtained Cybertron's database, he was confident he could fake it.
But Cybertron's database had been wrecked by the Cybernetic Tide earlier, leaving behind only a few fragmented memory pieces.
With those, deceiving Purple Giant Star, his superior, wouldn't be a problem. After all, he and his superior hadn't been close.
But what if the other party was an old acquaintance?
Wouldn't he give himself away after just a few lines?
Still, after thinking about it, so what if he slipped up? As far as Gao Gong was concerned, whether this identity was exposed or not actually made little difference now.
"Cough, cough—"
He adjusted his electronic voice, tuning it to Cybertron's uniquely deep electronic tone.
Then he spoke.
"I am Cybertron."
"So it really is you? You're still here? You didn't leave with Lord Purple Giant Star?"
Unexpectedly, the voice on the other side belonged to a little girl.
She sounded quite young, though he had no idea how long her species lived.
After all, some species that looked young might already have lifespans of tens of thousands, or even hundreds of thousands, of years.
"..."
Gao Gong could only remain silent.
"We're leaving. You know that, right? Didn't Lord Purple Giant Star notify you?"
