Entropy Reduction
Entropy increase was a fundamental property of the main universe. If one insisted on tracing it back, it could be traced to the Big Bang.
"Entropy reduction" was the reverse operation of entropy increase. By rewriting deep-layer information, it turned signal-covered regions from disorder into order. In the process, it could naturally rewrite the properties of the universal system a second time.
The principle was somewhat like flashing a device.
This ability was actually quite absurdly powerful.
For example, simply modifying one digit in the spatial parameters could make a whole mass of extreme species unable to break through the speed of light.
Or it could create an effect similar to the "Sophons," causing not only physics but also mechanics and thermodynamics to die out together.
It could even cause energy weapons to malfunction on a large scale by casually altering a few energy parameters.
The same applied to mechanical parameters: it could directly crash tens of thousands of mechanical legions.
However, such an absurdly powerful ability was not without limitations.
First, this modification had a limited range. It was restricted to areas covered by the Star Network civilization's signals. Moreover, unlike a universal engineering project, it could not permanently modify anything. The "flashing" of a Level Three civilization was not yet powerful enough to permanently alter the universal system and neutralize heat death.
Of course, this had little effect on ordinary civilization wars—unless such a war lasted tens of thousands of years.
The second point was that this "modification" also had upper and lower limits. In other words, the various universal parameters could not be changed too drastically. At most, they could be altered by single digits, or even by figures after the decimal point. It was impossible to produce changes tens of thousands of times greater.
