Upon hearing this, quite a few people in the same cabin glanced at the speaker. Seeing that it was a brightly dressed humanoid juvenile, they immediately lost interest.
Most likely, it had been brought along by its elders to attend the postwar ceremony.
Youthful vigor, combined with worship of the strong—nothing surprising.
No one felt like talking to it.
After a moment of silence, the arguing started up again. This time, it was somewhat interesting: the quarrelers were actually celebrities from two different civilizations.
Celebrity fandom—or, to put it another way, idol worship—was nothing unusual in any civilization.
Any species with a nervous system, or any sentient intelligent life-form, needed spiritual solace, just as anything with a digestive system needed to eat, drink, defecate, and urinate.
There was nothing strange about that.
Every intelligent species had wildly varied standards of beauty, but there were certain common tendencies as well. Those tendencies were related to the level of civilization and its technological strength.
Take the Robert Galaxy, for example.
Because the Mechanical Overlord suppressed all dissent, the centripetal force brought by its advanced civilization was too strong. As a result, species that originally should never have developed mechanical civilizations had been forcibly diverted and embarked on the path of mechanical civilization.
This had also caused the aesthetics within those civilizations to become, to a certain extent, machine-oriented and metallic.
But after the Mechanical Overlord's departure, this aesthetic had unconsciously developed a hint of rebellion during its evolution. Thus, metal punk and mechanical punk had become the new trends.
However, most of the civilizations in this galaxy had only just entered the third level, while the stronger ones were merely at the mid-third level.
And unless they forced the issue, complete species-wide modification was something that belonged to the middle and
