Without the soil of a technological wave, certain technology maniacs and tech demons could never have been born. At worst, they would have become ordinary wage earners.
The same applied to technological waves; the technology tree was even more important.
With the technology tree of a level-two civilization, conducting biological research at the third and fourth tiers, even if everything ultimately ended in failure, still counted as producing results.
By that calculation, Doctor Yu was pretty damn impressive.
Gao Gong decided to let go of his prejudice against Doctor Yu.
"We're here."
Gao Gong discovered another feature of the biological spatial passage: it had a "sense of time."
Normally, this kind of spatial traversal involved drilling through loopholes in spacetime and had almost no concept of time. But perhaps because of the exchange of biological information, Gao Gong could actually sense the passage of time during the transmission.

In the next moment, the view before the three of them suddenly opened up.
In an early universe that had yet to develop the concept of galaxies, the three of them had somehow arrived inside a "biological galaxy."
The first things to enter their vision were "hearts," one after another.
They resembled enormous organs nourished by the universe.
They slowly contracted and expanded. Every beat sent phosphorescent ripples through the nebula-like tissues surrounding them, transmitting warm pulses brimming with life throughout the entire galactic system.
Their surfaces were covered in winding, raised networks that transported blazing, luminous bodily fluids. Rivers of blood flowed beneath the crust, outlining intricate and radiant genetic diagrams in the darkness.
These were "biological planets."
Planetary organisms that had been completely biologized.
And between the planets were all kinds of strange creatures of space.
They did not pilot starships; they themselves were lifeforms capable of navigation.
