Blade (Part Two)
The Mirror Spirit's simple consciousness was thrown into complete confusion by Madam Bawan's words: "Of course, we are your masters too."
Instinctively, it felt that the other party wasn't lying. Yet it also vaguely sensed that something was wrong. After all, among its core directives, the only officially recognized "master" was Gao Gong.
An obvious look of confusion and hesitation appeared on the illusory face it had conjured. Its compound eyes flickered uncertainly, as though it were struggling to make sense of this complicated relationship.
Madam Bawan was far too experienced. She immediately caught the Mirror Spirit's wavering.
Without giving it time to think things through, she struck while the iron was hot. Her tone became even more "persuasive," while she pushed the Blade Queen—who had remained silent but whose aura resonated deeply with Gao Gong—to the forefront in a manner almost like "pointing out the obvious."
"Especially this one." Madam Bawan's mental voice carried a guiding emphasis, as if reminding a child who could not see the truth. "Can't you sense it? The profound connection between her and your Mr. G—one that surpasses the ordinary and is almost symbiotic, as if they share the same origin?"
Her mental tendrils gently plucked at the incredibly tight soul-linking ripples between the Blade Queen and Gao Gong that the Mirror Spirit could sense, magnifying and highlighting the "special nature" and "priority" of that connection without limit.
"Isn't this inseparable bond enough to explain everything?" Madam Bawan's voice was filled with an air of "of course."
"Sense it carefully. This resonance, this bond born from the very origin of existence... Shouldn't she be one of your true, most fundamental masters?"
