Blood-and-Flesh Sea of Stars

The second guest High Engineer had been waiting for arrived soon enough.
And it came in a big way.
A spreading expanse of red light suddenly appeared on the outskirts of the star system.
And it was moving incredibly fast!
The hundreds of millions of planets in this star system cracked apart simultaneously within the same millisecond. What surged from the fissures was not magma, but dark-red, pulsating fleshy roots. These roots spread and intertwined within the planets at superluminal speed. The instant they finished inhaling, the various cold spheres expanded and pulsed, transforming into living planets covered in throbbing flesh and chitinous shells.
Then those celestial bodies completed a second explosion, blasting out a superluminal sea of flesh and light. It seeped through the void and directly transformed an entire star sector. Within that area, every material existence completed its transformation into a "blood-and-flesh sea of stars."
It was a sea of viscous, dense fleshy slurry that radiated intense life-glow and biological pheromones. The instant it exploded, its expanding front had already surpassed the speed of light.
The same explosions also appeared in more than a dozen surrounding "star sectors."
Generally speaking, an ordinary galaxy possessed anywhere from ten to a thousand star sectors.
Smaller ones, such as the Robert String Controller Galaxy from back then, covered only about twenty star sectors. Each star sector contained roughly twenty star vortices, and each star vortex had tens of millions of planets.
From certain "higher-dimensional" perspectives, one could clearly see fleshly cannonballs blossoming throughout the galaxy around the mechanical megastructure as their core, quickly covering nearly one-third of the galaxy.
