As outsiders, anyone facing a large Garen Republic starship would probably be stunned at the first sight by the energy level it radiated.
What the hell—what a powerful energy engine!
At first glance, however, people would be drawn to the silvery energy barrier flickering across the starship's surface.
Needless to say, this was a modified solar-sail technology.
By combining the defense system with a solar sail, it could both alleviate the ship's energy consumption and improve the recovery of its defenses.
It was an extremely ingenious piece of starship technology.
But what attracted Gao Gong's attention most was the spatial fluctuation radiating from the ship.
The fluctuation gave him an intense sense of danger.
A phase cannon?
Gao Gong had heard of "phase cannons."
They were a type of large-scale energy cannon, and a rare spatial cannon among energy weapons. They operated by using spatial anchor technology to confirm the enemy's spatial coordinates, then directly tearing space apart with a massive amount of energy and destroying everything within that area. The higher the phase cannon's level, the wider its attack range.
Gao Gong felt himself being locked on.
Sure enough, the ship at least 500 kilometers away suddenly flashed brightly, as though someone had shone a searchlight on it. The next moment, a projection appeared two meters away from the pair. It was a two-meter-tall giant, about the same height as Gao Gong, with a stern expression, hair standing straight up, and rigid features.
This was a Galt, the primary intelligent species of the Garen Federation—a race of engineers renowned throughout the Second Star Spiral for their solemnity and seriousness.
"That's a cloned Galt ship pilot. Look at his ears," Weierwei whispered.
Only then did Gao Gong notice the slender golden mark in the center of the other party's ear.
