This was not the sea.
It was an artificial lake on Heaven Leaf Lotus.
It was called Northern Shrimp Lake.
It was also one of the three Lakes designated for farming Green Rice Shrimp.
The other two Lakes were called Southern Shrimp Lake and Eastern Shrimp Lake.

A strangely shaped small boat swept across the lake at over eighty kilometers per hour, leaving behind a foamy white wake.
It was nearly three times faster than a Driftwood Boat.

Pale green little spheres floated all over the water. Each was about the size of a pinky fingertip, bobbing up and down in the rain like patches of green carpet.

As though startled, the little spheres all jumped in unison, leaping nearly half a meter before falling back onto the water.

They were not animals.
They were a type of algae unique to this world—Marimo Algae.
The word "marimo" in their name came from this very trait. Whenever Marimo Algae sensed an unusual sound, they would all leap up.
And this season was the peak breeding period for Marimo Algae, so vast patches of them could be seen everywhere.
