[Chapter 0: A Brief Summary]

1. Final exams are in the next two days. The timing coincides with the end of a team writing event, so I'm taking a short break.

The opening was rushed, but thankfully it's been signed. I need to revise and improve the opening content first.

Then, I'll refine the outlines and detailed outlines for the first two volumes.

2. Family cultivation stories have existed for a long time, they just haven't been as popular as the recent news has made them.

A completely different kind of Xuan Jian family cultivation novel inspired everyone to explore new story ideas.

Everyone has transformed into various strange, mysterious, and sacred objects, heading to a certain world to become the treasures of a family.

Or they become the family's spirit beasts.

I also hope this family cultivation story will have something unique.

So, I'm stating this upfront: it might not be what readers expect.

3. Regarding some of the established elements that appeared in the early chapters, some of you might have noticed them, and some might not have.

[Demon Subduing Hall], [Sky Pillar], [Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King], [Earth Hero Star Heavenly Eye General], etc., are actually elements from Water Margin that I've been conceptualizing and anticipating for many years. I kept revising them, and only recently did I decide to use them this way.

My memories of reading the Water Margin novel and playing Water Margin beast games are from a long time ago.

Previously, I wanted to write about a family in a fictional world, starting from the bottom and struggling. Later, they encountered these Demonic Spirits.

The concept of Demonic Spirits was only integrated recently. Before that, I didn't know what to call them.

I gained practical experience and inspiration during the writing process of my previous book.

That's how the "everything has a spirit" setting came about.

Demon Beasts Spirits, Ghost Spirits, Demonic Spirits, and Deities will all make an appearance.

4. In the first volume, a powerful figure is secretly pulling the strings, helping Ming Shu, who completely lacks goals and direction, establish his family.

Related settings are still being refined and will gradually surface. I'll try to make them as logical as possible and less fantastical.

By the second volume, the protagonist should still be alive, and then he will gradually fade into the background, with the protagonist changing. It's tentatively planned to be Little Zhao, but it's not confirmed yet.

If you find any contradictions in the story's narrative, it's definitely my memory being jumbled and me making a mistake. Stories that get too long tend to have such issues. My previous book had this happen several times, and I had to constantly flip back and reread it.

I use the search function daily to review what I've written before.

Errors are more likely to occur after 500,000 characters. This is also an advantage for some authors who decisively switch maps, saying goodbye to all characters from the previous map and leaving only the protagonist's group, which makes it easier to develop the story.

It's especially important to prevent characters who are supposed to be dead from suddenly reappearing. That makes me so embarrassed that I can't sleep for days, and I have to awkwardly revise the story to make it work.

5. I've heard that some great authors have a habit of creating summary lists for their readers.

However, this is more of a summary for myself, a way to account for my progress at different stages.

I don't reflect on myself daily, but reviewing once a month is quite necessary.

Based on my experience with the previous book, I can still manage a daily update of 4,000 characters.

However, I need to raise my standards, polish the story carefully, and then take time each day to correct typos and contradictory plot points.

The entire opening, up to 50,000 characters, needs to be revised. It's a significant undertaking. I'll deal with it after my exams tomorrow.

Don't use the "correct error" feature; the author doesn't receive those notifications. I've tried many times, and I can't see corrections submitted through that feature. I will read the comments.

I will fix any typos.

I give my all in every attempt, believing in the power of progress and accumulation.

The issue of padding word count in my previous book will definitely not happen in this one. Even if I can't update as much, I won't resort to filling space with meaningless content.

I will update steadily after the New Year. I'll do my best to update before the New Year, as I have other matters to attend to.

The preliminary plan is for at least three volumes.

By the later part of the first volume, there will be a small family.

6. Let me reiterate a few concepts that are easily confused.

[Academy] can be a place of power similar to the [Demon Subduing Hall]. [Academy] (Shuyuan) is a general term, below which are various academies in different regions that exist physically.

Therefore, the internal structure of the academies is very fragmented. Even within the same academy, there are different factions.

The highest institution of learning in the world is the [Imperial Academy].

Along with the [Demon Subduing Hall] in terms of power level are the [Imperial Academy Palace], the [Demon Locking Pagoda], the [Ghost Refining Prison], the [Ancient God Temple], and others.

The power specifically refers to the [Imperial Academy Palace], while the influence is the academy system. However, the academy system refers to all scholars, and there isn't a single entity called "Academy."

There's no need to get hung up on this.

7. The three main factors that inspired me are Water Margin, family cultivation, and the Fate Book.

Actually, I had conceived a story called Jin Xian · Fate Book before, but I couldn't integrate other elements. I thought about it for a long time without much inspiration, except for the opening scene of a near-death experience and swallowing an immortal pill.

I started following Xuan Jian when it had less than a thousand subscribers. When I caught up, I joined the second full subscription group, where my current group level is Purple Mansion.
