Ch. 244Mylah and Drath

Mylah and Drath helped hold Northrend Watchtower until Alexandros the Ashbringer arrived and routed the Scourge. After Seriath’s death, Bromuukth resumed command, while Mylah prepared to leave with Alexandros and Drath faced her feelings for her.

  • Mylah and Drath held off Baron Rivendare and Rhaes Frostwhisper as the Scourge pressed the allied forces onto Northrend Watchtower’s slopes.
  • Alexandros the Ashbringer struck the Scourge from behind, and Mylah and Drath urged the allied warriors to counterattack.
  • Rivendare ordered Rhaes to take Seriath’s corpse as the Scourge leaders retreated, leaving their forces to be defeated.
  • Alexandros apologized to Bromuukth for arriving too late, but Bromuukth refused to blame him and returned to her duties as commander.
  • Mylah volunteered to accompany Alexandros to Stratholme, while Drath silently supported her and recognized that she loved Mylah.

Ch. 245Renault's Choice

Mylah and Renault Mograine struggled to survive after the Scourge wore down Alexandros’s squad, and Renault took up Ashbringer when his exhausted father mistook him for Darian. Remembering Tyrel’s encouragement, Renault chose to fight the Undead instead of killing Alexandros, but he collapsed after destroying them all.

  • Mylah ran out of strength as the Undead overwhelmed the Scarlet Crusade, and Renault saved her from an attacker.
  • Mylah sent Renault to help Alexandros, but memories of his father’s favoritism toward Darian made Renault hesitate.
  • Alexandros, exhausted and unable to see clearly, mistook Renault for Darian and urged him to take Ashbringer and defeat the Undead.
  • Renault considered killing Alexandros, but remembered Tyrel’s faith in him and turned Ashbringer against the Scourge.
  • Renault destroyed the remaining Undead with Ashbringer, exhausted his Holy Light, and heard someone praise Alexandros for having a fine son.

Ch. 246Reunion of the Silver Hand

Uther defeated Reno and nearly killed him before Tirion Fordring arrived, but revealed that Saidan Dathrohan had been turned into a Death Knight. Alexandros reconciled with Reno and sent Ashbringer to Tirion, who faced Uther and Dathrohan as more Death Knights arrived.

  • Uther knocked Ashbringer from Reno's grasp and defeated him, prompting Reno to confront Alexandros about his father's neglect.
  • Tirion Fordring arrived and saved Reno, but Uther revealed that Saidan Dathrohan had joined the Scourge as a Death Knight.
  • Alexandros apologized to Reno, then asked Mylah to give Ashbringer to Tirion.
  • Ashbringer flew into Tirion's hand, and he used its Holy Light to battle Uther and Dathrohan.
  • Duke Kael'thas and Sir Zeliek appeared, and Kael'thas urged Alexandros to run while warning that he could not control himself.

Ch. 247Duke Kael'thas

Uther’s Four Horsemen confronted the Mograine family and Lord Tirion in Stratholme until Kaelen Sunfury and Angela Dusatus arrived to aid them. Kaelen battled Duke Kael’thas, but discovered the Death Knight could command fire and was immune to its flames.

  • Reno refused to flee and told his father, Alexandros, to escape while he held off the Death Knights; Alexandros promised to accept Reno and Sally Whitemane’s marriage if they survived.
  • Kaelen Sunfury and Angela Dusatus arrived, and Kaelen struck Duke Kael’thas and Sir Zeliek with three elemental orbs.
  • Kaelen attacked Duke Kael’thas with his twin swords, using repeated Blinks and freezing the Death Charger’s hooves.
  • Duke Kael’thas caught Quel’delar in his hand and let its flames flow harmlessly over him.
  • Duke Kael’thas revealed that fire remained his companion even after death, leaving Kaelen facing an opponent whose flames could not be countered normally.

Ch. 248Four Energies

Cain used four powerful duplicates wielding arcane, fire, frost, and fel to battle Duke Kael'thas and Sir Zeliek in Stratholme, while helping Lord Commander Alexandros's group escape. He left the duel unresolved and rescued Lord Tirion through a Spatial Rift.

  • Cain split into four combat-ready duplicates and sent the arcane and frost wielders against Duke Kael'thas, and the fire and fel wielders against Sir Zeliek.
  • Cain's Dragonforged Blades drained the opponents' mana, so Duke Kael'thas raised the dead Scarlet Crusade elites and sent them against Cain.
  • Cain summoned elementals to fight Duke Kael'thas's Army of the Undead, then called a Proto-Dragon to evacuate Mylah, Lord Commander Alexandros, and the others.
  • Fairbanks emerged alive from beneath the Undead corpses and joined the group as they escaped on the Proto-Dragon.
  • Cain interrupted Lord Tirion's battle, grabbed him, and escaped with him through a Spatial Rift.

Ch. 249Journey to Outland

Tyrel arrived at Stormwind Citadel after the portal between Outland and Silvermoon City was severed, and reunited with Kael'thas to learn what had happened. Kael'thas revealed Illidan had given the Blood Elves only a tiny amount of Well of Eternity water and hinted that he had gained a wondrous being aboard the captured fortress.

  • Solarian welcomed Tyrel to Stormwind Citadel and explained that Kael'thas had led the Blood Elves in capturing the lightly guarded cosmic fortress.
  • Tyrel asked why the portal between Outland and Silvermoon City had closed, and Solarian said the Blood Elves had been unable to discover the cause.
  • Kael'thas greeted Tyrel and praised him for obtaining Aluneth, but said he already had powerful weapons of his own.
  • Tyrel asked whether Illidan had given Kael'thas the promised Well of Eternity water, and Kael'thas showed him a vial containing only a tiny remnant.
  • Kael'thas told Tyrel that Illidan had trained five Blood Elves as Demon Hunters, but only two had survived and one had been affected by demonic power.
  • Kael'thas called Stormwind Citadel and a wondrous being his greatest gains, and Tyrel asked what powered the spacecraft.

Ch. 250Naaru M'uru

Tyrel met the captured Naaru M'uru and learned that M'uru saw him as the Child of Light destined to defeat the shadow. Kael'thas promised to survive, while Tyrel began studying the Naaru in Outland.

  • Kael'thas showed Tyrel the captured Naaru M'uru and explained that the Blood Elves had taken it from a starship in Outland.
  • Tyrel warned Kael'thas that draining fel energy could endanger the Blood Elves and offered to take command in Outland, but Kael'thas said Voidlings were helping build Mana Forges to draw arcane energy.
  • Tyrel told Kael'thas he feared losing another family member, and Kael'thas promised that he would survive.
  • Kael'thas assigned Tyrel to study M'uru, and Tyrel approached the seal to examine the Naaru.
  • M'uru spoke into Tyrel's mind and called him the Child of Light, saying his golden eyes marked his potential and that he was destined to defeat the shadow.

Ch. 251The Fate of the Child of Light

Naaru M'uru showed Tyrel a vision of Kil'jaeden's summoning and urged him to accept the Holy Light to change the future. As M'uru began taking over Tyrel's will, Tyrel's Arcane Energy stirred, and a mysterious voice urged him to choose his own fate.

  • M'uru showed Tyrel a vision of demons overrunning Quel'Danas, Kael'thas summoning Kil'jaeden, and the Blood Elves facing a devastating future.
  • M'uru told Tyrel that a golden-eyed elf was fated to save the universe and offered its power as the means to change the future.
  • Tyrel angrily questioned why fate kept taking his loved ones and then entered M'uru's seal despite the other Blood Elves' concern.
  • M'uru poured Holy Light into Tyrel, branded him with runes, and began consuming his will while commanding him to abandon Arcane Energy.
  • Tyrel saw Illidan break free of a golden naaru's attempt to control him, and the miniature Sunwell within Tyrel surged with Arcane Energy as a mysterious voice urged him to control his own fate.

Ch. 252Blood Knight

Tyrel resisted M'uru's attempt to control him and seized the naaru's Holy Light, transforming it into Blood-red Holy Light. With Kael'thas's support, he founded the Blood Knights and infused Draenalus, naming him the first Blood Knight Lord.

  • M'uru merged with Tyrel and entered his soul, where Tyrel learned he was a unique being born from the injustice suffered by the blood elves.
  • Tyrel drove back M'uru's will and used the miniature Sunwell's Arcane Energy to seize and corrupt M'uru's Holy Light.
  • Tyrel sealed M'uru's will inside himself and told Kael'thas he had mastered the naaru's power and would become a Blood Knight.
  • Kael'thas selected several Sunfury Legion Warriors for Tyrel to infuse with Blood-red Holy Light.
  • Tyrel infused Draenalus, who endured the pain and gained powerful Blood-red Holy Light.
  • Tyrel named Draenalus Blood Knight Lord Draenalus.

Ch. 253Astral Consortium

Tyrel visited the Astral Consortium in Stormspire to learn about Voidling technology and pursue a partnership. Meanwhile, an aged sage in Theredore seized on Kael'thas's departure from Stormwind Citadel as an opportunity to take a Warp Ship.

  • Tyrel decided to meet Illidan, and Phoenix King Kael'thas left Stormwind Citadel for Shadowmoon Valley without asking why.
  • An aged sage in Theredore foresaw Kael'thas's departure and prepared to take a Warp Ship with a Broken shaman.
  • Tyrel visited Netherstorm's Central Ecological Dome and saw how its lush environment recreated Quel'Thalas for the homesick Blood Elves.
  • Calculator Parsa'reyn escorted Tyrel to Stormspire, where Nexus Prince Haramad welcomed them in person.
  • Tyrel told Nexus Prince Haramad he wanted to learn about Voidling technology and build a fruitful partnership with the Astral Consortium.

Ch. 254Draenei Assault

The Draenei attacked the Blood Elf stronghold of Stormwind Citadel in Netherstorm, forcing the defenders into a fierce battle. Prophet Velen and his forces broke through the Blood Elf lines and targeted the lightly defended Exodar.

  • Calculator Parsa'reyn informed Dawn King Tyrel that Draenei were attacking Stormwind Citadel, and Tyrel left his meeting with Nexus Prince Haramad.
  • Defender Maraad fought Blood Knight Lord Draenalus while Darlis Mornstrike ordered the Blood Elf forces to repel the Draenei.
  • Prophet Velen shielded the Draenei Defenders from the Blood Elf Magisters' barrage, while Nobundo used elemental forces to disrupt the Blood Elf line.
  • Maraad led the Draenei through the breach toward the Blood Elf fleet, and Velen ordered them to board the weakly defended Exodar.

Ch. 255Prophet Velen

Mathias ordered the Exodar's cross-dimensional engine destroyed as Prophet Velen's Draenei attacked the ship, but Tyrel arrived and fought Velen. Their energy blasts released a Void Lord, and after they weakened it, Tyrel and Velen paused their conflict to speak.

  • Mathias led the Flaming Eagle Legion in a desperate defense of the Exodar and ordered its cross-dimensional engine demolished to thwart the Draenei.
  • Tyrel arrived and challenged the Draenei, while Prophet Velen sent Maraad and Nobundo to continue taking the Exodar and faced Tyrel himself.
  • Tyrel's flaming strike failed to break Velen's Holy Light shield, and the two leaders exchanged powerful energy blasts across Netherstorm.
  • A Void Lord crawled from a spatial rift, and Tyrel and Velen struck it together with Holy Light, leaving it weakened.
  • Tyrel asked why the Draenei wanted the Exodar, and Velen explained that he sought refuge for his people from the Burning Legion.

Ch. 256Draenei Maid

After the Draenei escaped aboard the Exodar, Tyrel spared the captured Draenei and offered them a chance to join Quel'Thalas. He made the defiant Soulbinder Tu'ranni his maid to keep her and the other prisoners alive.

  • Tyrel ordered Mathias to withdraw the Flaming Eagle Legion rather than let it be destroyed fighting the Draenei.
  • Prophet Velen powered the Exodar with the Holy Light and escaped into the Twisting Nether, leaving Soul Song with Tyrel.
  • Mathias reorganized the Flaming Eagle Legion and brought several thousand captured Draenei to Tyrel.
  • Tyrel offered to pardon the Draenei if they pledged loyalty to Quel'Thalas, but Soulbinder Tu'ranni angrily refused.
  • Tyrel declared that Tu'ranni would serve as his maid, making it her only choice if she and the other Draenei wanted to live.

Ch. 257Races of Similar Fate

While handling the backlog of government affairs at Stormwind Citadel, Tyrel questioned Soulbinder Tu'ranni about the Draenei's origins. Her account of their flight from Argus and the Burning Legion left him reflecting on the Draenei and Blood Elves' similar histories, while the Naaru's actions still troubled him.

  • Tyrel struggled through the accumulated government work that Kael'thas had left behind at Stormwind Citadel.
  • Soulbinder Tu'ranni watched Tyrel, spilled her Tranquil Bloom tea, and was teased by him about her maid outfit.
  • Tyrel asked Tu'ranni about the Draenei's history, and she explained how Velen led them from Argus to Draenor after the other Eredar leaders joined the Burning Legion.
  • Tyrel compared the Draenei's fate with that of the High Elves and admired Velen for resisting the Burning Legion.
  • Tyrel wondered why the Naaru had forcibly altered his and Illidan's wills if they were truly selfless toward the Draenei.

Ch. 258Kael'thas Breaks Free of Fate

Kael'thas learned that Tyrel had lost the Exodar and considered abandoning Azeroth, but Tyrel warned him of the Burning Legion’s pursuit and revealed Quel'Thalas’s fate. Kael'thas admitted Kil’jaeden had contacted him, then proposed that he and Tyrel put on a show together.

  • Kael'thas returned to Stormwind Citadel, noticed the Exodar was missing, and asked Solarian what had happened.
  • Tyrel told Kael'thas that a Draenei leader had given him the Soul Song, and Kael'thas recognized its power before deciding Tyrel needed it more.
  • Kael'thas proposed using the Warp Ships to search the cosmos for a new homeland, but Tyrel warned that the Burning Legion could pursue them anywhere.
  • Tyrel recounted the Draenei’s history and warned Kael'thas that Kil’jaeden would descend upon Azeroth through the Sunwell.
  • Kael'thas revealed that Kil’jaeden had already contacted him and admitted he might have cooperated with the Deceiver if Tyrel had not come.
  • Kael'thas invited Tyrel to perform a show with him, recalling how they had performed for their father as children.

Ch. 259Illidan's Order

Tyrel met Illidan at the Black Temple and told him that the Naaru had chosen them as the Child of Light and the Child of Shadow. Illidan dismissed the prophecy and agreed to help only if Tyrel and Kael'thas first helped him seize Shattrath from the Naaru.

  • Illidan invited Tyrel to rule Outland beside him, but Tyrel refused.
  • Tyrel sensed a familiar energy in Illidan's demons and warned that they could be destroyed by Flaming Strike.
  • Tyrel told Illidan that the Naaru had chosen him and Illidan as the Child of Light and the Child of Shadow.
  • Illidan rejected the idea of destiny and warned Tyrel and Kael'thas about the Burning Legion's overwhelming power.
  • Illidan ordered Tyrel and Kael'thas to help him take Shattrath from the Naaru occupying it.

Ch. 260Blood Elf Demon Hunter

Valedis Hellscorn received newly empowered artifact warblades from Kael'thas and Tyrel, then led them to Leotheras, whose body held a sealed Demon Lord. Tyrel arrived as Leotheras lost control, leaving open whether Soul Song could help suppress the demon.

  • Kael'thas and Tyrel infused Valedis Hellscorn's twin warblades with Sunwell power, awakening them as an artifact.
  • Valedis named his new weapons the Sunstrider Glaive and swore loyalty to the Phoenix King and the Dawn King.
  • Tyrel asked Valedis to take him to Leotheras, and Valedis explained that Illidan had imprisoned him in the Black Temple.
  • Valedis led Tyrel and Kael'thas through the Fel Orc quarters to Leotheras, who was losing control as Fel Orc Warlocks suppressed his Demon Lord.
  • Valedis explained that Illidan had sealed Demon Lords inside the strongest Blood Elf Demon Hunters, granting great power that was difficult to control.

Ch. 261Holy Light Dragon Zerakku

Illidan gave Tyrel the Void Dragon Zerakku, which Tyrel transformed into a Holy Light Dragon and rode through Shadowmoon Valley with Kael'thas. As they headed toward Terokkar Forest, Kael'thas explained that Alleria Windrunner and her rangers had refused to join the Blood Elves and Horde.

  • Illidan agreed to let Tyrel take Leotheras and sent Varedis to present him with Zerakku, a Void Dragon from the Dragonmaw Clan.
  • Tyrel infused Zerakku with Blood-red Holy Light, transforming it into a golden-red Holy Light Dragon that accepted him as its rider.
  • Tyrel and Kael'thas flew over Shadowmoon Valley together, while Kurand Hammerfall spotted Zerakku and Ao in the sky.
  • Tyrel asked about Alleria, and Kael'thas said she remained at Alleria's Citadel and refused to join the Blood Elves or the Horde.
  • Kael'thas explained that Alleria's rangers could not accept the Blood Elves' attack on their human comrades at Kirin'Var Village.

Ch. 262A Strategy to Break Their Will

Tyrel met with Prophet Vortale in Terokkar Forest and sought advice on dealing with Alleria's High Elf rangers. Vortale urged him to use their family ties to persuade them to return to Quel'Thalas, leaving Tyrel with a strategy to bring the rangers back without forcing them to fight the Orcs.

  • The Firewing Legion and Flaming Eagle Legion arrived in Terokkar Forest to join the attack on Shattrath.
  • Tyrel reunited with Prophet Vortale and told him how Quel'Thalas had driven out the Scourge and rebuilt Deatholme.
  • Tyrel asked Vortale how he could resolve the standoff with the High Elf rangers in Alleria's Citadel.
  • Vortale warned Tyrel that a ruler sometimes had to oppose his own people, but advised him to appeal to Alleria's ties with Sylvanas and Rilas and to the rangers' families in Quel'Thalas.
  • Tyrel resolved to send the rangers news of their surviving relatives and Quel'Thalas's need for help, while offering those who hated Orcs a place in the Pathfinder Legion.

Ch. 263Rescuing Blood Ring Village

Tyrel Sunstrider sent Prophet Vortale to lead the assault on Shattrath and led the Flaming Eagle Legion to rescue the Mag'har Orcs at Blood Ring Village. The Blood Elves turned the battle against the Stonefist Ogres, and Yorin Dead-eye saw Tyrel as his clan's savior.

  • Tyrel Sunstrider rejected Mathias's proposal to ignore the Orcs and entrusted Prophet Vortale with the attack on Shattrath.
  • Tyrel led the Flaming Eagle Legion toward Blood Ring Village, while Mathias obeyed orders despite his disappointment.
  • Yorin Dead-eye and the Blood Ring Clan suffered heavy losses as the Stonefist Clan Ogres overwhelmed them.
  • Tyrel arrived on a golden dragon and unleashed Holy Dragon Breath on the Ogres, then the Blood Elves attacked their rear.
  • Tyrel burned the Ogres surrounding Yorin without harming him, and Yorin memorized the Blood Elf king's appearance.
