Ch. 286Outsider

Tyrel brought Yorin, a Mag'har Orc from Outland, to Orgrimmar, prompting Warchief Varok Saurfang to take them to Great Chieftain Thrall. There, Tyrel rejected Jaina as an outsider, and Yorin revealed himself to Thrall.

  • Tyrel met Warchief Varok Saurfang while touring Orgrimmar and told him that Yorin was a Mag'har Orc untouched by Demon Blood.
  • Varok took Tyrel and Yorin to Grommash Hold to inform Great Chieftain Thrall.
  • Tyrel found Jaina with Thrall and demanded that outsiders leave before he spoke with the Great Chieftain.
  • Jaina left Orgrimmar by teleportation after Tyrel treated her coldly.
  • Thrall tried to reconcile Tyrel and Jaina, but Yorin removed his hood and addressed the Great Chieftain.

Ch. 287The Legend of the Pandaren Empire's Gift

Yorin told Thrall that the Mag'har Orcs survived in Outland with help from the Blood Elves, while Tyrel searched Azshara's ruins for the Pandaren Empire's legendary gift of inexhaustible magic. Tyrel learned the location of the hidden magic tower and met Demon Hunter Loramus Theron.

  • Yorin revealed that he came from Outland and described the Mag'har Clan's difficult situation to Thrall, who thanked Tyrel for the news.
  • Tyrel left Orgrimmar for Azshara to search High Elf ruins for the Pandaren Empire's gift of eternal magic.
  • Tyrel freed a High Elf spirit, who said the protected magic tower lay at the center of the sea among sea giants and Naga.
  • Tyrel continued purifying the spirits before a Night Elf Demon Hunter appeared and identified himself as Loramus Theron.
  • Loramus lowered his weapons after Tyrel introduced himself as the Blood Elves' Dawn King.

Ch. 288Demon Hunters and Blue Dragons

Tyrel and Loramus encountered Azuregos while investigating the demons’ search for an ancient High Elf artifact, which Tyrel identified as the Arcane Source. Azuregos agreed to help them find it, and they discovered a hidden tower over the sea that only Tyrel could sense.

  • Loramus warned Tyrel that a vast magical energy was approaching, but Tyrel recognized the arriving blue dragon as his friend Azuregos.
  • Azuregos transformed into a Blood Elf and told Tyrel that he had settled in Azshara to guard an artifact the demons had been seeking.
  • Tyrel suggested the artifact was the Arcane Source given to the High Elves by the Pandaren Empire, and Azuregos agreed that demons could use it to summon a powerful lord.
  • Tyrel and Azuregos agreed to search for the Arcane Source together, and Azuregos carried Tyrel and Loramus over the sea toward the ruins.
  • Azuregos brought them to an ancient magical tower, where Tyrel alone detected a faint flow of arcane energy.

Ch. 289Pandaria Orb

Tyrel, Azuregos, and Demon Hunter Loramus opened an ancient High Elf magic tower in search of the Arcane Source the Pandaren Empire had given the High Elves, but found its case empty. Tyrel discovered a glowing orb marked “Pandaria” and took it with him, though its purpose remained unknown.

  • Tyrel used his Sunwell-derived Primal Arcane Energy to find the protective spell’s weak points, then burned the magic away with Flaming Strike.
  • Tyrel, Azuregos, and Demon Hunter Loramus entered the tower and found an empty box where the Arcane Source was supposed to be.
  • Azuregos suspected someone had taken the Arcane Source, while Demon Hunter Loramus recalled an ancient secret and Tyrel felt relieved it was missing.
  • Tyrel searched the tower and found a glowing orb engraved with the word “Pandaria.”
  • Tyrel recognized the orb as a relic of the ancient Pandaren Empire and carefully put it away.

Ch. 290Hydassian Water Elementals

Duke Hydraxis sought Tyrel’s help against Firelord Ragnaros, offering the energy of powerful Fire Elementals as a way to strengthen Flaming Strike. Tyrel hesitated to risk his people, but Hydraxis’s claim that Molten Core held two elemental artifacts caught Azuregos’s attention.

  • Duke Hydraxis and the Hydassian Water Elementals surrounded the mage tower, and Azuregos prepared to fight until Hydraxis explained that he wanted allies against Firelord Ragnaros.
  • Tyrel and Loramus emerged from the tower and drew their weapons, but Hydraxis assured Tyrel that he meant no harm and asked for his aid.
  • Hydraxis described the Hydassian Water Elementals’ campaign against Ragnaros and explained how the Dark Iron Dwarves had summoned him to Blackrock Spire.
  • Tyrel refused to risk his life casually, citing his duty to protect his people, but Hydraxis said a powerful Fire Elemental’s energy core could restore Flaming Strike’s suppressed primordial flame.
  • Hydraxis revealed that Molten Core might contain two elemental artifacts, startling Azuregos.

Ch. 291Bloodrazor Camp

Tyrel secured Thrall’s support for a campaign against the fire elementals, and Eitrigg led an elite Orc force to join him. At Bloodrazor Camp, Tyrel learned that Tesseron had discovered the Observer’s Tomb but the Dwarven Explorer’s League had seized part of the excavation site.

  • Thrall agreed to aid Tyrel after Eitrigg and other elderly Orc warriors volunteered to accompany him.
  • Thrall assembled several thousand elite Orcs, including many shamans, to help fight the fire elementals.
  • Tyrel met Tesseron at Bloodrazor Camp in the Wasted Lands, where Tesseron reported finding the Observer’s Tomb.
  • Tesseron explained that the Explorer’s League had attacked the Blood Elf excavators and taken control of part of the tomb.
  • Tyrel learned that Durulin had led the Explorer’s League to establish the Dustwind Excavation Site north of the Observer’s Tomb.

Ch. 292Bronzebeard and Dark Iron Dwarves

The Blood Elves secretly maneuvered the Goblins and Dark Iron Dwarves to attack the Bronzebeard Dwarves after the Explorer's League force marched toward Observer's Tomb. The Dark Iron Legion struck Dustwind Excavation Site while its defenses were weakest.

  • Chief Surveyor Durulin ordered the Dwarves at Dustwind Excavation Site to arm themselves and march south toward Observer's Tomb.
  • A hidden Blood Elf Ranger watched the Bronzebeard force depart and fired an arcane signal arrow into the sky.
  • The Blood Elves hired a Goblin squad to deliver false intelligence to the Dark Iron Dwarves at the Tower of Pain.
  • The Dark Iron Legion learned the location of Dustwind Excavation Site and was told the Bronzebeard Dwarves sought an artifact to oppose them and Firelord Ragnaros.
  • The Dark Iron Legion marched east and attacked Dustwind Excavation Site, shouting for Firelord Ragnaros and Emperor Thorias.

Ch. 293Triggered Arcane Bombs

Tyrel assigned Alex to lead the Blood Elf Holy Relic Association against the Dwarven forces, and Alex turned the Dwarven Tanks’ charge into a disaster. The chapter ended with Alex’s forces using coordinated attacks to punish the dwarves after destroying most of their tanks.

  • Tyrel left the remaining battle preparations to Alex, who vowed not to disappoint him and mobilized the Blood Elf Holy Relic Association.
  • Tarecgosa asked Alex why he feared Tyrel, and Alex said he found the Dawn King more terrifying than the Firelord.
  • Chief Surveyor Durulin ordered the Dwarven Tanks to charge the Blood Elf lines, expecting their firepower to overwhelm the elves.
  • Alex’s triggered Arcane Bombs detonated beneath the advancing tanks and destroyed eighty percent of them.
  • Alex directed the Blood Elf Warriors, Blood Knights, Rangers, and Magisters in a coordinated assault that inflicted heavy losses on the dwarves before they reached close combat.

Ch. 294Firepower Suppression, Tactical Flanking

Alex’s Blood Elves routed the Dwarven Explorer’s Association at the Observer’s Tomb, while Tyrel kept the battle limited to the two archaeological organizations. As Durulin’s troops retreated, the Dark Iron Legion attacked them at the Dustwind Excavation Site and killed most of the Dwarves.

  • Alex sent his elite Blood Knights to flank the disorganized Dwarven troops, and Serin Fireheart led them through the Dwarves’ defenses.
  • Tyrel praised Alex, whose plan had held back from completely destroying the Dwarven Explorer’s Association to avoid drawing Ironforge and a larger Alliance force into the conflict.
  • Chief Surveyor Durulin ordered a retreat, and Alex let the Dwarves withdraw rather than risk provoking a fight to the death.
  • Durulin discovered smoke rising from the Dustwind Excavation Site and recognized the sulfur scent of the Dark Iron Dwarves.
  • The Dark Iron Legion attacked the retreating Dwarves, killing most of the Explorer’s Association while a small number escaped aboard flying machines.

Ch. 295Entering Observer's Tomb

Tyrel used Aluneth to uncover the entrance to Observer's Tomb, where ancient inscriptions revealed that Titan Watchers had once hidden from the Faceless Ones and that the Earthen remained to guard Uldaman. Inside, he activated a stone golem and used his control over its Arcane Energy to stop it from attacking, leaving the Blood Elves poised to uncover Uldaman's secrets.

  • Tyrel supplied Aluneth with the Sunwell's Primal Arcane Energy, and Aluneth lifted the mud and sand covering Observer's Tomb.
  • Tyrel deciphered the entrance inscriptions, learning that ancient guardians had fled the Faceless Ones and that the Earthen had stayed behind to protect Uldaman.
  • Tarecgosa identified the guardians as Titan Watchers, ancient protectors left by the Creator.
  • The Blood Elves entered the tomb and found enormous stone golems, which Tarecgosa suggested they activate with Arcane Energy.
  • Tyrel powered up a stone golem, then used his control over its Arcane Energy to alter its programming before it could attack.

Ch. 296Dawnblade Viper

Tyrel and the Blood Elves uncovered the Eye of the Guardian in the Observer's Tomb and used it to locate Uldaman. With its entrance lying between Bronzebeard and Dark Iron territory, Alex proposed provoking the two Dwarf clans into fighting, and Tyrel named him Dawnblade Viper.

  • Tyrel altered Warder and Sentinel, who revealed a stone chest containing the Eye of the Guardian, and he entrusted the relic to High Examiner Tesseran for study.
  • The Blood Elves explored the buried reaches of the Observer's Tomb, fought Trogg attacks, and wondered why the creatures could move through Uldaman so freely.
  • Tesseran and the other examiners deciphered part of the Eye of the Guardian's authorization, and the relic guided Dragonhawk Riders to Uldaman's true entrance.
  • Tyrel realized entering Uldaman would risk conflict with both the Bronzebeard and Dark Iron Dwarves, and Alex proposed turning the two clans against each other.
  • Tyrel praised Alex's plan and granted Alex Frostwind the title of Dawnblade Viper.

Ch. 297Ambassador Infurnus

Alex and his Blood Elf squad infiltrated the Tower of Pain disguised as Dark Iron Dwarves, but Ambassador Infurnus exposed them and forced them into battle. Alex struck down the Dark Iron General with a powerful Crusader Strike while Tarecgosa fought Infurnus.

  • Alex and his squad used Thunder Beer to convince the guards to let them enter the Tower of Pain in disguise.
  • Alex posed as Emperor Thorias's ambassador and hired a Dark Iron Dwarf guide to take the squad deeper into the fortress.
  • Ambassador Infurnus recognized the disguise, so Alex killed the guide and ordered Tarecgosa to seal the passage with ice.
  • Alex and the Blood Knights fought the Dark Iron General and his warriors while Tarecgosa clashed with Infurnus.
  • Alex gathered his Blood-red Holy Light into the Sunstrider Greatsword and cut through the Dark Iron General's weapon and armor.

Ch. 298Eight Runes of Flaming Strike

Tyrel arrived in the Tower of Pain and used Flaming Strike to defeat Ambassador Infurnus, saving the Blood Elves and the Dark Iron General. He absorbed Infurnus's elemental essence into the sword, slightly strengthening its fire runes, while the runes remained weaker than its Arcane and Holy Light runes.

  • Tarecgosa struggled to protect the Blood Elf Blood Knights from Ambassador Infurnus's attacks because the hall prevented her from taking dragon form.
  • Ambassador Infurnus flooded the hall with magma, threatening Tarecgosa, the Blood Elves, and the wounded Dark Iron General.
  • Tyrel appeared and used Flaming Strike to cut through Infurnus, devouring much of his elemental energy.
  • Infurnus offered to make a contract with Tyrel, but Tyrel cleaved him in two and absorbed his fire energy.
  • Tyrel thrust Flaming Strike into Infurnus's elemental essence, brightening the sword's two fire runes slightly.

Ch. 299Dark Iron Legion's Assault on Khaz Modan

Tyrel forced the Dark Iron General to pledge loyalty, and Alex manipulated the Dark Iron Legion into attacking the Bronzebeard Dwarves. After the armies became bogged down in battle near Loch Modan, the Dark Iron Dwarves used Drill Rigs to launch a surprise assault on Sersama.

  • Tyrel offered the wounded Dark Iron General a choice between serving him and facing execution, and the general pledged loyalty before Tyrel healed him.
  • Tyrel left the Dark Iron General and Legion in Alex’s hands, while Tarecgosa mocked Alex’s new title.
  • Alex and the Dark Iron General blamed Ambassador Infurnus’s death on the Bronzebeard Dwarves and ordered the Dark Iron Legion to march on Khaz Modan.
  • Alex rallied the Legion, sidelined the Dark Iron General, and warned him not to cause trouble before leaving.
  • The Dark Iron Legion deployed its Obsidian Golems and Dwarven Tanks, but its frontal battle against the prepared Bronzebeard army stalled near Loch Modan.
  • Following Alex’s strategy, the Dark Iron Legion used Drill Rigs to emerge behind enemy lines and attack the unprepared town of Sersama.

Ch. 300Yorin's Despondency

Eitrigg and his elite orcs arrived in Kargath to aid the Blood Elves, and he introduced his son Ariok to Tyrel. Tyrel learned why Yorin was despondent and promised to help him find the scattered survivors of the Blood Ring Clan.

  • Eitrigg apologized to Tyrel for arriving late, and Tyrel invited him to visit Tirion if their mission went well.
  • Eitrigg introduced Ariok as his son and explained that he wanted to confront Rend Blackhand and the Dark Horde in the Burning Steppes.
  • Tyrel found Yorin staring blankly and asked what was troubling him.
  • Yorin told Tyrel that Eitrigg had heard of fewer than a thousand Blood Ring Clan members joining the Horde, far fewer than he had hoped to find in Azeroth.
  • Tyrel promised Yorin he would do everything he could to find his clansmen, even in his personal capacity.

Ch. 301Thorium Brotherhood

Tyrel's army crossed into Searing Gorge, where Tarecgosa protected the Orcs and Blood Elves from the heat. After capturing Jack Rockleg, they learned he belonged to the Thorium Brotherhood, a faction opposed to Firelord Ragnaros, and Tyrel sought its help accessing Blackrock Depths and Molten Core.

  • Tyrel asked Tarecgosa to cool the army, and she surrounded the Orcs and Blood Elves with an icy aura.
  • Luminas Sunmark captured Jack Rockleg at a Dark Iron Dwarf outpost and brought him before Tyrel for questioning.
  • Miendis Yanghen stopped Luminas from threatening Jack and explained that the Thorium Brotherhood opposed Firelord Ragnaros.
  • Tyrel ordered the captured Dark Iron Dwarves released after learning they shared his army's enemy.
  • Tyrel introduced himself to Jack and asked the Thorium Brotherhood for help learning about Blackrock Depths and Molten Core.

Ch. 302Foreman Ophenst

Tyrel and Eitrigg met Foreman Ophenst at Silver Watchtower and learned why the Thorium Brotherhood had rebelled against the Dark Iron Dwarves. Eitrigg agreed to supply steel in exchange for the Brotherhood forging and repairing equipment for the Orcs.

  • Tyrel noticed a vast excavation project in Searing Gorge as he traveled with Eitrigg to meet the Thorium Brotherhood.
  • Foreman Ophenst welcomed Tyrel and Eitrigg at Silver Watchtower and explained that Firelord Ragnaros had ordered the Dark Iron Dwarves to dig toward the Firelands.
  • Ophenst revealed that Grand Duke Kael'thas had enslaved workers and driven them to their deaths, prompting him to lead the Royal Blacksmith Association in founding the Thorium Brotherhood.
  • Ophenst offered to forge and repair equipment for the Blood Elf and Orc army if they supplied the steel.
  • Eitrigg agreed to provide the steel, eager to equip the Orcs with better weapons and armor.

Ch. 303Lord Rendan

Ariok and Hansel Heavyfist fought to a standstill before Eitrigg and Foreman Ophenst stopped them. Alex and Tarecgosa then visited Lord Rendan at Ironforge Peak, where Rendan agreed to cooperate with the Horde coalition in exchange for support.

  • Ariok and Hansel Heavyfist challenged each other to a fistfight and earned one another’s respect.
  • Eitrigg and Foreman Ophenst ended the duel and reminded Ariok and Hansel that they were on friendly terms.
  • Foreman Ophenst explained that the Thorium Brotherhood needed Lord Rendan’s help to attack The Molten Core.
  • Alex and Tarecgosa flew to Ironforge Peak to persuade Lord Rendan to join the coalition.
  • Lord Rendan claimed to be neutral, then agreed to cooperate when he learned the Blood Elves could provide the support he needed.

Ch. 304Twilight Cult Emerges

At Ironforge Peak, Alex secured Lord Rendan’s interest with the promise of gryphons, while Tyrel discovered that Soul Song could heal Luminas’s damaged soul. Luminas led an assault on The Molten Core, but a Blood Elf named Lethosario betrayed her and revealed himself as a Twilight Cult official.

  • Lord Rendan invited Alex and Tarecgosa to the banquet, then eagerly accepted Alex’s offer to obtain gryphons and led the Dark Iron Dwarves in a dance.
  • Arcane fireworks over Searing Gorge signaled that the allied forces had captured the Cinder Excavation Site and were ready to attack The Molten Core.
  • Tyrel used Soul Song to heal Luminas’s soul, ending the torment she had endured as a Death Knight.
  • Luminas led the attack on The Molten Core, defeated Dark Iron Dwarf soldiers, and freed many slaves.
  • Luminas approached a group of Blood Elves in religious-looking attire, but Lethosario attacked her with a fireball and declared that he served the Twilight Cult, not the Sunstrider family.

Ch. 305Twilight Lord Akakus

Luminas and Miendis encountered the mysterious Twilight Cult and fought its leader, Twilight Lord Akakus, with help from Retson Flamefury. After defeating him, they captured the fleeing cultists to learn more about the organization.

  • Miendis attacked Lethosario after he burned Luminas, but Luminas freed her and killed him with her Rune Blade.
  • Luminas and Miendis wondered why a powerful Blood Elf had joined the Twilight Cult, then faced a force of thousands led by Twilight Lord Akakus.
  • Luminas fought Akakus while Miendis waited for an opening, and Retson Flamefury arrived and struck the Warlock with destructive fire.
  • Miendis hit Akakus with a poisoned dagger, allowing Luminas to interrupt him and shatter his shadow shield with Frost Strike.
  • Luminas, Miendis, and Retson defeated Akakus, and Luminas captured the fleeing cultists for questioning.
