Soran's army stood on the flank of the demon host, with more fiend mercenaries among its ranks than the armies of the other demon lords. The Gurumba Arena's arms trade had taken off. Through the Yugoloths' network, Soran even maintained contact with an archdevil on the first layer of Baator Hell. Every so often, the Yugoloths shipped equipment discarded by the Devil Legion down the River Styx to Soran's territory, where it was sold to other demons. This was an unspoken practice in the Abyss: many demons' weapons and equipment came from the devils' arsenals.
Soran felt pretty good after sending away the ticking time bomb at his side.
By his reckoning, there was a fifty percent chance that this ticking time bomb was the Succubus Queen herself!
To think he had actually fucked the Succubus Queen, and tried every position with her, too. Thinking back on it—that really was fucking thrilling!
Not knowing her identity would have been one thing, but now that he knew who she was, Soran absolutely did not dare keep her by his side.

In accordance with their pact, the demon army launched an assault on the fortress occupied by the gnolls.
It was an incredibly sturdy iron fortress, its walls already crusted with blood. Clearly, the gnolls had paid a heavy price to seize it. Around twenty to thirty thousand gnolls were stationed here. Their numbers fell far short of the demon army's, but their quality far surpassed that of the low-tier demons.
Boom, boom, boom!
To the muffled beat of war drums, the demon army launched its first assault.
Soran stood at the rear of the formation, watching a group of Vrock officers drive a dark mass of dretches forward. This was the demons' usual
