Soren entered the Formian settlement.
It occupied a separate gear, roughly twice the size of Port Nyanzaru, and housed a considerable number of Formians—probably thirty to fifty thousand.
The gravity on this gear seemed independent. After arriving, he could clearly feel it increase to roughly 1.5 times that of the Material Plane. The Floating City covered a vast area, and Soren saw its ruined outline as soon as he reached the gear. However, the Formians had already converted it into a nest, and there was no telling how much remained intact. He used Shadow Jump to approach, but as he neared the central hall, he alerted several enormous female Formians.
Psionic sensing.
These somewhat bloated Formians were Queen Guards.
A deity in Avatar Form could potentially be worn down and killed by sheer numbers. After surveying the surroundings and leaving a Spatial Beacon, Soren departed.
There were simply too many Formians, and their racial traits were somewhat like those of a swarm of bees. Attacking an individual Formian Worker or Formian Warrior posed no problem, but once someone attacked a Formian Queen, every Formian under her control would frantically rush to her aid. In other words, attacking a Formian Queen was like stirring up a hornet's nest: tens of thousands of Formians would immediately pursue the attacker with murderous frenzy. Under normal circumstances, adventurers would never provoke a Formian Queen. The price was simply too high.
Soren left the gear through a green portal.
He slipped into the shadows and made a circuit of the surrounding area, discovering a Cornugon settlement, several roaming Astral Hunters, and traces of a group of Incubi.
There were quite a few devils in Mechanus.
Incubi did not look very different from Succubi. However, Succubi had demon wings on their backs, while most Incubi had
