The arrival of an evil god was nothing short of a massive earthquake for the Abyss.
None of the Demon Lords believed that a powerful evil god would obediently remain within his God's Realm after entering the Abyss. Almost all such gods would extend their reach into one of its layers. The Spider Queen, for example, or the Goddess of Misfortune—or Soren, who had now officially entered the Abyss.
The Spider Queen and the Goddess of Misfortune were both extremely overbearing deities.
They had each all but occupied an entire layer of the Abyss. Although Soren had yet to make a move on that scale, he acted very quickly!
In the Abyss, being domineering and unreasonable sometimes made demons easier to deal with, because many of them bullied the weak and feared the strong. [Evil] was sometimes a compliment or a form of flattery in the Abyss, and on his second day there, Soren displayed his evil power.
Soren outright killed a Balor Lord entrenched nearby!
He made no attempt to justify it.
Soren killed him simply because the Balor Lord's territory lay near the entrance to his God's Realm. He gave the other party no opportunity to explain or respond—though, in fact, Soren had waited an entire night.
And during that night, the other party had failed to make the appropriate choice.
Either submit to Soren or leave this land!
