The glow of divine power shrouded the skies above the Grand Temple.
At the same time, a faint golden glow appeared at every temple serving Soren across the Material Plane. Soren was drawing on the power of faith accumulated throughout his church.
Even for a deity, creating a new advanced class was no easy task. The abilities Soren bestowed on the new class determined how much divine power value he would need to expend. Moreover, these advanced class professionals often consumed more than they contributed. If Soren cultivated too many of them, he might have to expend even more divine power.
Thus, Soren needed to set a limit!
He had to raise the requirements for becoming a Trickery Assassin to ensure that every rogue who advanced into the class was exceptional.
"A Trickery Assassin's agility can't be too low. The dexterity requirement should be set at around 22. If they want access to divine magic and trickery abilities, their wisdom can't be too low either."
Amid the golden divine radiance, Soren calculated the minimum wisdom requirement for Trickery Assassins as well.
To advance into a Trickery Assassin, one needed at least 22 dexterity and 14 wisdom, the latter being the minimum requirement for a cleric. There were no mandatory requirements for other attributes, but the higher their wisdom, the more shadow divine magic they could cast. Soren also provided Trickery Assassins with more shadow damage. When they used Shadow Assassination, their wisdom bonus could add extra shadow damage.
Next, Soren began setting the equipment restrictions for Trickery Assassins.
To reduce divine power consumption, Trickery Assassins would certainly be restricted to leather armor. Soren could not possibly grant them the abilities of a swashbuckler as well. Daggers would be their primary weapons, while using scimitars would require an additional feat.
