The group crossed the frozen wasteland.

As an enormous Iron Fortress came into view ahead, countless undead appeared before Soran's eyes. Their numbers were even greater than he had imagined. Hundreds of thousands of zombies, skeletons, ghouls, and wights gathered on the outskirts alone, while vast numbers of necromancers and liches occupied the interior. Even after Orcus had been dead for so long, his Undead Army remained terrifying.

That did not even include the demon army already transported to the Plains of Infinite Portals on the first layer.

An immense undead host gathered before him, with giants roughly five meters tall roaming among them. These were vampiric giants, servants of the demons who had once stayed in Nathlatar. Now, however, Orcus had apparently summoned them. There were around five or six hundred chasmes. These terrifying creatures occasionally hunted down a zombie or two, but mostly remained quiet. Only an Abyssal Lord could accomplish this. Without an Abyssal Lord's oppressive presence, these terrifying creatures would attack any undead or demon. Ghouls formed the backbone of the Undead Army before him, making up nearly half its numbers.

Could Doresain, the King of Ghouls, be here?

Soran pondered, thinking to himself, Doresain, the King of Ghouls, was Orcus's warlord. If Orcus returned, he would certainly serve under him again.

It looks like the ghouls from the 421st Layer of the Abyss have gathered here too.

The vast Undead Army had assembled here, but the overwhelming majority of low-tier undead could not cross the River Styx. They could only leave this plane through a Teleportation Circle.

The demons and undead had separate camps.
