Lulumiao's ascension to godhood was not necessarily a major event.
But she was, after all, a True God personally appointed by Soren, so Port Nyanzaru held a celebration that day, and everyone set aside their busy schedules to gather and congratulate her.
The little catgirl was still rather clueless and had no real idea how to act as a Deity. Fortunately, she was Vivian's maid, and with the two little girls teaching her, she should soon adjust. For an appointed Deity with quasi-divinity, the number of worshippers was not actually the most important thing. As long as she fulfilled the duties of the Portfolio Soren had assigned her, she could receive a share of the faith from his temple. Soren's Great Temple was currently being expanded, consuming an enormous amount of wealth. Completing the entire Great Temple was expected to cost roughly thirty million Gold Dalers, and it would occupy about a fifth of Port Nyanzaru.
City Hall could not afford that sum, but fortunately, Soren already had substantial savings, along with wealth from other Planes.
According to preliminary estimates,
the Great Temple would not be fully finished until the final stages of the Time of Troubles. Even with Wizards and priests helping with construction and large numbers of golems mobilized, completing its initial structure would still take around six months.
The layout of the entire Temple District had been redesigned.
Once fully completed, the Temple District would include Soren's Great Temple, Vivian and Lillian's Grand Temples, Lulumiao and Saruman's Core Temples, and the Maiden of Pain's Subordinate Temple.
Some space also had to be reserved for future use.
