The Gnolls that had gone out to hunt returned to camp. Their strong, scar-faced Boss spotted the corpses outside and threw back its head in an angry roar—it had fought Adventurers before. Its Humanoid intelligence made it realize that Adventurers had attacked their camp. Those Adventurers had mercilessly slaughtered the tribe's offspring, just as the Gnolls mercilessly devoured pitiful humans. There were few enemies, and they had fled as soon as they noticed the Gnolls returning.
Twelve Gnolls gradually gathered.
This was a medium-sized Gnoll tribe. More than half were adult Gnolls, a third were Warriors, and a small number were newborns. Relying on their natural talents, they had tamed three Hyenas. The Hyenas could assist them during hunts, and when food was scarce, they could also serve as emergency rations. To Gnolls, hunger could overwhelm everything.
