God of Hunt! Third Update

History did not change course much for any one person.

Even the Gods could not stop the Time of Troubles. As the first signs of a storm that would sweep across the Multiverse appeared, Soren's intelligence network delivered a vital report. It made him abandon his plans to develop the War Chess Plane further and temporarily slow his Demon Avatar's expansion in The Abyss. Instead, he turned much of his attention to the Material Plane.

The reason was simple.

The report concerned Malar, the God of Hunt. As the Time of Troubles drew closer, a terrifying Energy Storm had swept this deity of Lesser Divinity out of his divine realm.

In a quiet, dimly lit room,

Soren sat alone, lost in thought. He tapped a finger lightly against the table, as though weighing a momentous decision.

The God of Hunt, Malar.

Across the Multiverse,

he was the only deity who held a Portfolio related to Murder while possessing no more than Lesser Divinity.

Soren was a Child of Slaughter. From any angle, the God of Hunt's Portfolio and power could be of immense help to him. More importantly, Malar was a deity he might actually defeat. The gap between Quasi-Divinity and Lesser Divinity was not so vast as to make victory impossible, unlike with other deities.

But!

One point mattered greatly: Malar was an ancient deity. As a Chaotic Evil god, he had no shortage of enemies, and his only close ally was the Maiden of Pain—the one who had attacked the Princess in the Land of Ice and Snow. Yet Malar had survived all this time, which spoke to his strength. He was no Vampire God Child. He knew how to wield divine power and had a well-established Church.
