The Monk before him was probably an advanced Saint.

Of course, that was the Adventurers' joking nickname. The class's full name was "Holy Fighter," an advanced class capable of using Divine Energy and Divine Favor. Divine Energy was essentially the Divine Power possessed by deities. If Soren intended to create a new advanced class, his current strength would allow it. For example, he could allocate some of his own Divine Power and use the power of his Rogue domain to develop a special advanced class like Darkstalker.

Or even a basic variant of Blackguard. These could all be created with the [evil] domain. The Lord of Shadows had created special advanced classes like these before.

However.

Creating such special classes came at a considerable cost. For example, the Holy Fighter before him, who had advanced from a Monk, used the God Who Cries' Divine Power in combat. The efficiency of this Divine Power Conversion was quite low. The Monk might require one point of Divine Power Value, yet the resulting effect amounted to less than a tenth of that. Only deities with abundant Divine Power or vast numbers of followers could cultivate such advanced classes. The God of Suffering, for example, had countless followers but rarely took part in battles himself.

He had ascended to godhood long ago and had already mastered nearly all the powers of Divine Rank available to him. He also had little need to fight others.

Over the years.

The Divine Power he had accumulated was used either to strengthen his God's Realm or to grant special abilities to his followers.
