Inside the quiet guest room, Soren slowly closed his eyes and began to sense the magical network, commonly known by spellcasters as the Weave. The Weave was an invisible energy force field that existed in many places across the Multiverse. Its greatest function was to help spellcasters construct spell formulas, and then condense the power existing in nature, ultimately forming and storing various spell slots. Once the spell slots were stored, one only needed casting gestures and verbal components to activate them, allowing for the rapid extraction of nearby energy to cast spells.
