October 11, 1676, Crescent Era.

One night, a strange silver radiance rose from the ruins of Silverymoon, bright enough to be seen from far away. It lasted only a moment. Afterward, a deep fissure appeared in the ruins, reaching down to somewhere in the underground complex. Standing at its edge, one could faintly hear eerie sounds from below. News of the strange event spread quickly through various channels and reached Soren three days later.

Soren glanced at the Magic Secret Message and murmured, "Has the Silverymoon ruins opened up?"

"So this was when it happened."

Back then, it had been a place every Spellcaster made a point of visiting. It held countless secrets; after all, Silverymoon had once been one of the most prosperous and powerful cities.

During the Time of Troubles, a saying had circulated among Adventurers: "Only a Wizard who's graduated from the Silverymoon ruins counts as a true high-level Spellcaster."

The reason was simple.

It wasn't that the ruins yielded extraordinary equipment. Rather, a hidden chamber inside recorded an exceptionally rare method of enchantment.

It was a special technique once mastered by the Red Wizards. No one knew why it had been left in that chamber. It allowed a Wizard to permanently inscribe a Spell on their body as a tattoo. The Spell could be made permanent, with an Eighth-Circle Spell being the theoretical limit. A Wizard in Soren's former Adventurer party had once made Dragon Wing permanent on their body.

The technique offered Wizards an enormous boost. It might detract a little from their appearance, but its practical value was immense!
