"Outsider Servant!"

As the battle turned increasingly against them, the Legendary Professionals began to lose their heads.

Someone had actually summoned an Outsider Servant now. The Time of Troubles had swept through every Divine Realm, weakening almost all the Outsider Servants within them by twenty to thirty percent. They were probably no stronger than ordinary Legendary Professionals now. Besides, if an Outsider Servant could kill an Evil God in his Avatar Form, why would the other deities need to fight him themselves?

It was little more than Legendary cannon fodder.

Summoning the Outsider Servant made the battle deteriorate further. More importantly, with both priests dead, the only one who could summon it was the Paladin wielding Pale Justice.

Or perhaps "holy knight" would be more accurate.

He belonged to a different order of Paladins. They believed in light and Justice, and most served the Lord of Radiance. As a result, they had stronger spellcasting abilities than other Paladins, though only with holy-light Divine Magic.

Their defining trait was that they automatically gained a Legendary Summoning Spell upon reaching the Legendary level.

Outsider Servant.

They could summon an Angel from Mount Celestia. Beings of this kind from a God's Realm were collectively known as Outsider Servants.

It was an extremely powerful ability.

But only when used against other Legendary figures, not against a deity in Avatar Form.

The battle collapsed completely.

The Paladin's Summoning Spell gave Malar, God of Hunt, a crucial opening. He lunged at the Paladin in an instant, willing to trade blows and risk taking a heavy hit to kill the enemy wielding Pale Justice.

If the Paladin died, no other Legendary Professional present could wield Pale Justice.

Of course.

Malar could not wield the weapon either. He could not even touch it.
