A strange silver-white radiance whipped up a raging gale. The God of Hunt Malar's Divine Shield shattered like an eggshell, and with Soren's terrifying attack speed, he broke through it in the blink of an eye. Malar could not strike faster than Soren, who had mastered Perfect Two-Weapon Fighting, nor could he match the Dodge ability Soren had built up. His greatest advantage was that he was far tougher. By a conservative estimate, his true body had close to 800 Hit Points.

Without Pale Justice in hand, Soren had almost no chance of beating him head-on.

The reason was simple.

Malar hit hard, and his terrifying Strength made up for his slower attacks. If the fight came down to who could endure longer, Malar would undoubtedly win.

But Soren had Pale Justice now, and that changed everything.

Five strikes broke the shield.

Pale Justice possessed terrifying attributes: "+15 Sharpness, +13 Penetration, +15 Toughness, +13 Armor Piercing, +15 Divine Damage."

Put simply, it could slice through a Dragon's Dragon Scale as easily as tofu.

Pale Justice was one of the sharpest weapons on the Material Plane. It had been given a perfect blade when it was forged, even before Divine Favor came into play.

With an overwhelming advantage in weaponry and the faster attacks to exploit it, Soren unleashed nearly twice as much damage as Malar. Every strike could deal over a hundred points of damage. After absorbing roughly 600 points, the Divine Shield finally burst apart amid the silver-white flashes.
