A True God Falls!

Everything in the Wind Spear Hills had been nothing more than a minor interlude.

But Soren now realized that he truly needed to start thinking about the future.

Specifically, everything concerning his God's Realm.

The original God of Half-Elves and Rogues had fallen. Under the normal course of the Time of Troubles, his God's Realm should have gradually fallen as well, eventually plummeting into the mortal world like a meteor and becoming a shattered demiplane realm. But Soren's assumption of his portfolio had temporarily changed that. He had successfully inherited the God of Half-Elves and Rogues' portfolio, establishing a faint connection with the original God's Realm. This had temporarily halted its fall and even begun to stabilize its structure.

But!

There was one thing he had to take seriously: the original God's Realm had been cultivated by the God of Half-Elves and Rogues for hundreds of years.

A deity's death would cause most of the fanatical petitioners within their God's Realm to perish as well. Violent upheavals would shake the realm. Some petitioners might survive, but certainly not many. The fall of a God's Realm was much like the apocalyptic catastrophe in 2012—the entire realm would undergo a violent collapse, and even one in ten of its inhabitants surviving would be a good outcome. This meant that even if Soren intended to inherit the original God's Realm after the Time of Troubles ended, his own foundations would still be extremely unstable.

Soren needed a group of fanatical believers.

And they had to possess sufficiently pure souls, along with decent strength and talent.

A God's Realm had its own unique system. If Soren survived until the end of the Time of Troubles, he would need his own divine servants, outsider servants, high-ranking angels (high-ranking fiends), chanters, soul petitioners, and so on.
