Port Nyanzaru.
It was a relatively busy and fulfilling day. Aside from the faint smell of salted fish hanging over the entire city, there was nothing particularly troublesome.
Everyone had been eating their fill lately!
The price of fresh fish in the taverns had fallen to a third of what it had been. Almost every household in Port Nyanzaru had stocked up on fresh fish, while the remainder was being hurriedly salted and dried. Soren could have figured out how to make fish floss if he put his mind to it, but a deity really should not have spent his energy on such things. Thus, Port Nyanzaru dealt with its excessive catch by making dried salted fish. It was the easiest method, and a coastal region had no need to worry about a shortage of salt.
Some of Port Nyanzaru's low-level wizard apprentices had already begun studying alchemy. As far as alchemy was concerned, purifying salt was among the most basic tasks.

Port Nyanzaru's core leadership had neither the time nor the energy for such minor matters. Perhaps they would consider applying advanced alchemy to people's everyday needs in the future.
This was probably the best period the slaves and laborers of Port Nyanzaru had ever enjoyed.
Every day, they could eat their fill after finishing work. Not only did they have fish at every meal, but they could also find all sorts of fresh seafood in the communal pots.
People in this era did not like eating such things. Much of it was treated as worthless food and fed to slaves.
