Soren had never really pursued a life of luxury. All the wealth he accumulated went either toward increasing his strength or covering Port Nyanzaru's expenses. Otherwise, he could certainly have lived more lavishly than a king. But as a lofty deity, he had no interest in material pleasures. Once he entered his Divine Realm, he could do whatever he pleased, with an entire realm's resources at his disposal.

It was a peaceful day.
For the residents of Port Nyanzaru, however, there were quite a few novelties that day, such as a ship hovering above the docks. A crowd had already gathered at the port, including not only local residents but also many merchants from the South Coast and elsewhere. They all stared at the Airship before them in astonishment. It was not entirely unfamiliar to them. To a layman's eye, the Airship's lower half was simply a ship, with its sails replaced by a balloon and something resembling a propeller fitted to its stern.
Merchants had an innate eye for profit.
The moment they saw the Airship, they recognized the enormous business opportunities it held. They immediately used their respective connections to make inquiries with Port Nyanzaru's leadership. The officials at City Hall had already received several groups that day hoping to offer gifts in exchange for information. Some of the long-established, noble-controlled merchant associations on the South Coast even asked outright whether the Floating Tower was for sale. If it was, price would be no object.
Business opportunities were only one aspect.
The other was that the powers behind the merchants had recognized the Airship's strategic value.
