The Githyanki leader's words seemed to strike Soren's weak spot, making even him hesitate.
An ancient god corpse!
It was something many people knew of, but few ever had the chance to encounter.
Even outside the Time of Troubles, many avatars of deities enjoyed wandering the Astral Plane, yet the odds of encountering an ancient god corpse were far lower than those of encountering godspawn, astral behemoths, or hecatoncheires. Even the Gods did not know where the boundless Astral Plane ended. Perhaps only overdeities could see beyond the boundaries of the multiverse and behold something different.
In terms of probability, the Githyanki, who spent their entire lives drifting through the Astral Plane, had the greatest chance of encountering an ancient god corpse.

Countless ancient demons died during that long war, but some of the first ancient gods of order also fell. Their corpses were left drifting in the Astral Plane. Even after tens of millions of years, they neither decayed nor vanished, instead drifting eternally through the Astral Plane, shrouded in a peculiar power.
"Do you really know where an ancient god corpse is?"
Soren frowned as he stared at the Githyanki leader before him. To him, an ancient god corpse was indeed worth far more than a group of slaves. If the man truly knew where one was, granting them their freedom would be nothing.
"Yes."
The Githyanki leader nodded and said solemnly, "I swear in the name of the Gith Silver Sword!"
It seemed to be
