Jacob and the other Spirit Domain Children had escaped by some unknown method. Lin Xiao roamed through the void at incredible speed, yet after more than two months, he still had not caught sight of them.

If not for the traces they had left behind remaining all along, he would have thought he was chasing in the wrong direction.

The void was boundless. World-light spheres of varying sizes floated like islands upon the endless Void Sea, while Void Creatures swam everywhere within it like fish.

Late eighth-rank, even peak eighth-rank power, was the strongest force in the Wizard World aside from the Progenitors. Although there were many powerful Void Creatures in the void, virtually no void monsters or aberrations could threaten him. In fact, whenever his enormous body passed through, Void Creatures within a radius of over ten thousand kilometers would turn pale with fright and flee at once.

Half a year later, Lin Xiao sensed a faint lingering aura gradually appearing in the traces ahead. His spirits rose. It meant he was about to catch up. The distance between them was not great, and the traces still retained aura that had yet to disperse.

However, these Spirit Domain Children seemed to have some way of detecting him. Whenever he drew close enough, they would use a special method to teleport directly through the void. Each teleport covered an extremely great distance, and their traces instantly became dim and faint.

Lin Xiao could do nothing about this. Once one's strength reached his level, especially for a powerful existence like him who had taken the path of condensing a true body, ordinary teleportation methods could no longer transport their massive true bodies and energy over great distances.
