Song Capital. Three flying mounts circled in the air. After a brief exchange with the interceptors inspecting traffic over the Capital City, they swooped down and landed inside a secluded residence.
Leaping down from two of the flying mounts were Soaring Sky Pavilion's Sect Master, Guan Jitai, two Elders, and three accompanying disciples.
The two men who dismounted from the other were visitors from Southern Prefecture of Yan Kingdom: Duan Hu and Wu Sanliang.
Soaring Sky Pavilion disciples within the residence came out to pay their respects. Feng Guan'er also hurried out upon hearing the news and bowed. "Greetings, Sect Master!"
Guan Jitai's face was drawn tight. "Come with me." Leaving those words behind, he headed straight for the inner courtyard. Feng Guan'er had no idea what was going on and could only follow.
Duan Hu and Wu Sanliang tried to follow as well, but a Soaring Sky Pavilion Elder raised a hand to stop them. "You two stay here." He then turned and signaled for the Soaring Sky Pavilion disciples to keep an eye on them.
In the inner courtyard, Feng Guan'er came up behind Guan Jitai, who had stopped walking. Silent, she glanced back at the two Elders following behind them.
Guan Jitai suddenly turned around and asked expressionlessly, "Guan'er, did Yuan Gang from Southern Prefecture of Yan Kingdom come looking for you?"
The matter had already been reported by Soaring Sky Pavilion disciples. At first, no one had thought much of it, but suspicions later arose. Now, those suspicions had effectively been confirmed.
Feng Guan'er lowered her head slightly. She knew she could not hide it. Soaring Sky Pavilion people had seen Yuan Gang when he came to find her. She answered softly, "Yes."
Guan Jitai asked, "What did he come to see you for?"
