Finishing This Month

I wanted to let everyone know that this book would be reaching its grand finale this month.

It was not originally supposed to end this soon. When I discussed it with the editor-in-chief, we had estimated it would finish in May or early June, because some plotlines had been cut.

There had originally been some plot involving the battle between Hu Yan Wuhen and Gao Pin. But judging by readers' reactions before, quite a few people seemed rather opposed to plotlines about wars in the secular world, so I simply cut them all and let Hu Yan Wuhen reach his end quickly. The major war plotline after Shang Chaozong took command of the Yan Kingdom was cut as well.

But when you pulled out a radish, you brought up the clinging dirt; it did indeed create some problems with connecting the plot.

Still, cutting them was probably for the best. Readers generally disliked those plotlines, and I felt resistance while writing them too. With the ending approaching, it would indeed have been inappropriate for things to seem overly drawn out. Skipping over them directly was more satisfying instead.

While I was at it, let me also report this to everyone: I had a few matters to deal with these past few days. It would already be good enough if I could guarantee normal updates. I was worried I might miss an update tomorrow, so I was afraid extra chapters would be impossible.

Thinking about the ending had made me feel much more relaxed. Could I be a little more casual with updates? Covering my face!

This was the final month for this book. It was everyone's last chance to vote monthly tickets for it, so if you had them, please cast them!
